[CCHS-2009] HOST FAMILIES FOR METCO STUDENTS

Dear parents and students,

The class of 2009 has recently been working on ensuring that each of our 
classmates who is part of the METCO program is matched up with a host 
family in Concord or Carlisle.  As many of you know, this is very helpful 
to students, giving them a chance to better know a classmate, and enabling 
our Boston students to more fully participate in activities at CCHS.  Being 
a host family may entail having a student stay over night before or after 
an event, or giving a student a ride from time to time.  It is an important 
connection.  We are looking for students from Concord and Carlisle to offer 
to be host families so that we can match up each METCO students with at 
least one family.  Our class, which is the typical class at CCHS, has 
twenty one METCO students, about half of whom are new to the program this 
year.  The other half  have been through the K-8 system in Concord, and may 
have established host families already.

If you are willing to help, please contact Madeline Bilodeau at

match students with similar interests.  We hope this will be a good way for 
our class to help get to know each other and support each other.  Thank you
