[CCHS-2009] Upcoming Events

Greetings Class of 2009 Parents!

Here are some highlights for the coming weeks and months. Two special 
notes:  WIQH, the CCHS Radio Station, has extended an invitation to all 
parents for an open house this coming Friday night.  Also note that the May 
Plant Sale has been cancelled.

Friday, April 7 - Freshmen Only Dance at Concord Elks Hall. 7:30-10:30 
P.M.
The attire for this dance is casual. It is being held at the Elks Hall 
since there were no open Friday nights at CCHS. Thanks to the Class 
officers and Advisors Miller and Pavlik for getting this event off the ground!

Friday Night, April 7 - Open House at WIQH for Parents & Other Adults
While the freshmen are dancing at the Elks, parents are invited to an Open 
House for adults at WIQH (the CCHS Radio Station located in the back corner 
of the I-Building). The open house is part of WIQH's 48 hour marathon 
broadcast, "48 for 88", which you will hear more about in a mailing from WIQH.

Saturday, April 29 - Trip to Six Flags, followed by Clean-up after 
Sophomore Semi
Details to follow!

Sunday, May 7 - Freshman-sponsored Senior Citizen Event
Thanks to Tricia Reed and Anne Marks for overseeing this social event for 
the Senior Citizens of Concord and Carlisle. Approximately 20 kids are 
needed to help; kids can check in with the class officers to volunteer. 
Community service hours will be awarded.

Saturday, May 13 - Plant Sale CANCELLED
We greatly appreciate the groundwork Karen Verrill has done for a Class of 
2009 plant sale. For a variety of reasons, it doesn't make sense to pursue 
the plant sale at this time, so you can erase this one item from your busy 
calendar. Thanks again, Karen!
