From Claudia:
Greetings:
The Freshmen Finale was a success. Rumor on the street is the kids all
seemed to have a great time. Thanks to all (kids and parents) who helped
transform the café into a lovely setting. The food as usual was plentiful;
thank you all for that. A special thank you to Lea Ferrante, Kathy Robey,
and Karen Verrill as well as our teacher chaperones, Mr. Pavlik, Mr.
Nichols, Ms McCabe, Ms. Clark and Mr. Weinstein for staying the entire
evening. Also, thank you Janet Bernard for all those extra cases of
water-they were all used. We know Mr. Miller was there in spirit.
As one looks back at the year-over 100 parents participated in one way or
the other for this class. There are so many people to thank-each time an
e-mail was sent requesting help-numerous responses were received. Thank you
so much for all your support. With the concern of missing someone they all
wont be listed-although we would like to acknowledge the chairs of the
events for the year:
Thanks to Maureen Tarca for organizing the tailgate party. Sandy and Phil
Peck did the leg work for the car wash which unfortunately had to be
cancelled due to rain.
Appreciation to Shelly Orenstein and Aaron Abend as well as Shelly Mogel
and David Sorto for hosting our parent socials. Thanks to Laurie Cadigan
for chairing the sell out Amaryllis Bulb sale. The movie night was
organized by Anne Marks, thank you. Deb and Rick Beinecke tried diligently
to organize the tubing event but ran into scheduling and weather
problems-thank for your efforts. Ann Slocum organized the food table at
the freshmen dance at the Elks; thank you. More thanks go to Tricia
Reed who led the charge for the first ever Senior Citizen Spring Fling.
Much appreciation goes to our teacher advisors-Brian Miller and Ray Pavlik.
They met with the class leaders every Wednesday at 7:00 am and guided them
throughout the year.
Also much thanks to the other parent advisors. Cathy Galligan as our
communications liaison, Kathy Robey as our treasurer, Patty Hecht took care
of the clothing sale, and Ann Marks led many of the events.
Please be on the look out for one more e-mail listing our scheduled events
for next year as well as looking for chairs of these events.
Always a pleasure,
Claudia Feeney
