From Samantha Dweck, Sophomore Class Officer:

Hello Class of 2009 Parents,

The Sophomore Class Government is hosting a fundraiser beginning this
Friday, March 30th. Students will have the opportunity to raise funds
for themselves and our class by selling boxes of cookie dough. This
delicious Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough comes frozen, with each box
containing dough for 48 pre-portioned cookies. Students will be given
order forms on Friday and asked to sell boxes to family and friends.
Order forms and money will be due Wednesday, April 11th. The cookie
dough will be delivered to the school, and students will be notified
of the exact date sometime after April break. There will also be a
checkpoint day on Thursday, April 5th. Any student who sells at least
5 boxes by this date will be entered in a raffle. Students going on
the band trip to Japan can also hand in their order forms and money
on this date.

This year's fundraiser will be unique in that students who
choose to participate will receive a greater benefit than those who
do not. Students who sell at least 8 boxes of cookie dough will see
50% of their personal profit returned to them in the form of a free
ticket to this year's Sophomore Semi (tickets are expected to be
about $20). Students who sell at least 25 boxes will receive 60% of
the profit in the form of tickets to the Sophomore Semi and to next
year's Junior Prom (expected to be about $55, for a $75 total).
Students who sell at least 45 boxes will receive 70% of the profit,
thus receiving free tickets to the Semi, Junior Prom, and Senior Prom
(a total estimated $160 worth of tickets). The remaining profit will
go to the Sophomore Class Government and will be used for upcoming
events planned for our next few high school years. The overall top
seller will also receive a $200 gift certificate for their Senior
Prom limousine.

This fundraiser is an excellent way to help support our class,
and I encourage all sophomores to participate! If you have any
questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at:
gymnast867 at comcast.net

Thanks for your support!
Samantha Dweck
