Dear AOL Users,
We are as frustrated as you are!
Here is what we suggest at this point: PLEASE CONTACT AOL technical support and reference TICKET NUMBER 1393857. Explain that you are a subscriber on a private listserver used to distribute school information and that for the past two or so months you have not been receiving their mail. The ticket number should give them enough history to describe the problem. Tell them that you have checked and rechecked your spam files and your firewall protection and neither of those are the problem. You can also tell them that your list server technical staff has been working with AOL and has done everything in their power to resolve any issues, but to no avail. You should know that you are one of several hundred AOL users who are experiencing this problem. We are hoping that if enough of you contact AOL, they will apply appropriate resources to the resolution of this problem.
For your information, below I am including the most recent communication from AOL to our technical guru. The note says that a block was removed on 5/9/07, which would have indicated that things should again be working normally. Interestingly, for weeks prior to 5/9/07 AOL had insisted that there was no block in place and that the problem resided on our end....just not so!
Also, just a clarification, since this seems to be a source of great confusion for many: Our list server uses two different means of communication. The first, which is where this email is being generated from, goes through the class lists that you each subscribed to. When you receive this email and others that are 'getting through' they come with a subject line beginning with [CCHS-2010] (or 2009 or 2008). Those mailings seems to be working just fine. The emails that you are NOT receiving are coming through the 'All School' list, which is made up of the four individual class lists. Those are the mailings sent by Louisa Coleman, Sharon Trainor, Mr. Dulong, Chit-Chat - or any other information that is not class specific, and they begin with a subject line of [CCHS] (no year specified). Several of you think that the list server is working just fine because you are receiving this message and others from me or your class parents. Please understand that you are NOT receiving anything from CCHS and that is a problem! Again, we hope that with some pressure from all of you, we can get this fixed!
Good luck and thank you for your patience and your support!
Sincerely,
Karen Sabatino

Hello,
I checked your IP address 199.232.104.15 and there was a block on it
earlier. We removed it on 05/09/07. If you are still getting CS4 bounce
back from us, let me know. I will be happy to assist you on that issue.
Thanks,
Mohammed Ahmed
