[CCHS-2009] PROM - UPDATED INFORMATION

Greetings
The Junior Prom is rapidly - the date is Friday May 16.
You may want to print this out and keep it as a reference. Please 
note: some things have been added and some changed from the earlier message.

  Notable Items:
Permission Forms
- The students bringing someone from a different school have to have 
a form filled out. Just to clarify - this type of permission form is 
typically signed by a principal, assistant principal or in private 
schools, a headmaster, dean of students or academic dean. Most 
schools in our area are very familiar with this type of request and 
the main office at the guest's school can assist in getting the 
proper signature.
- These forms are available in the main office or by emailing Cathy 
Galligan (catgalligan at comcast.net) and must be returned to Mr. Miller 
prior to buying prom tickets. This is a new procedure this year and a 
ticket may not be purchased for someone who does not attend CCHS 
without the completed form.

Tickets
- Ticket are $60 per ticket (some kids will get discounts or free 
tickets depending on their cookie dough sales). Tickets will be sold 
the week of May 5 during lunch blocks. If a check is made please make 
it to the CCHS Class of 2009.  It is acceptable if a junior is going 
with another junior that each buys their own ticket.
- Going as groups of friends is certainly acceptable.

Tuxes
- A big thank you to Tracy Young and Alex Ward for helping out with 
the tux day!
-Tux arrival: Those who ordered tuxes from Bonardi - the tuxes will 
be delivered to CCHS on Thursday, May 15 after school. Look for the 
van in the parking lot. Please have payment for the balance at that time.
- If your son missed the fitting on Friday, he may still order from a 
Bonardi's store. Mention this is for the prom at CCHS - you would 
still be eligible for the discount and delivery to the school with 
the other tuxes.
-Tux return: Bonardi's van will be at the high school parking lot on 
Monday May 19 before school to collect your tuxes.

Gathering at CCHS
- The kids will gather at the high school between 5:30 and 6:00 for 
check in and a reception put on by the sophomore class. Note: 
everyone has to go on the bus-no student will be allowed to drive to 
the prom directly.
- It is tradition that family and friends gather outside the high 
school as they process on the red carpet to the buses.  They will 
then proceed to The Westin in Waltham for the prom. The buses will 
return to the high school by 11:30 PM.

Pictures at the Prom
- Flyers will be given out when the tickets are sold stating the 
information from the photographer the kids booked to be at the 
prom.  The flyer is attached to this message

Parent Social
- A parent social will be held at Laurie & Peter Thomsen's (thank you 
Laurie & Peter) with more info to follow.
