Hello students and parents of the class of 2009,

Summer is the time to be thinking about what you 
want to contribute to the 2009 Yearbook! Because 
we work with the publisher's firm deadlines, and 
the books are published in sections, all of our 
deadlines are extremely FIRM DEADLINES. Each item 
MUST be in by the due date. We have very happy to 
accept ALL of the following items from you all at 
once as one packet or e-mail with attachments, 
before the first due date, if that is easier for 
you! Please be absolutely sure that names are on 
the back of any hard copy photos submitted, so 
that we can ensure they are appropriately 
included in the yearbook, and so we can be sure 
to get them back to the appropriate person at the 
end of the year. If you have any questions,

Deadlines:

Due by September 8 (the EARLIER IN THE SUMMER, the BETTER!)
Senior Portraits

     *Information about getting your senior 
portrait taken this summer has been mailed to you 
at your home this week (mid-June). Look for it in 
the mail! There is also a page in the June CCHS 
Newsletter describing senior portraits.
    * If you have your portrait taken at Anderson 
Photo or by Pierre Chiha, your picture is all 
taken care of – they will submit all portraits 
they take to us in one large batch before the deadline
     *If you have your portrait taken by someone 
else, you must submit your photo to us yourself

Due by September 19
Baby pictures and write-ups

     *Write-ups are informal texts that appear 
next to the baby picture ; see past yearbooks for examples

     *Writes-ups can be no longer than 550 characters long (including spaces)

     *E-mail write-up and digital jpeg of baby 
picture to <mailto:yearbook at colonial.net>yearbook at colonial.net

First day of school 2008 fall pictures

     *Brought a camera to our first day? We'd love to use your pictures

Due by September 26
Senior summer pictures

     *Pictures of what you and your friends did this past summer

Remember when/back in the day pictures

     *Generally they are childhood pictures, but 
we'll accept anything prior to Senior year

     *Please identify all of the people in the picture

Junior Prom/Sophomore Semi pictures

     *Pictures from Junior Prom 2008 and Sophomore Semi 2007

Due by Oct 1st - Parent Ads/Student Ads
These are the beautiful personal messages at the 
back of the book. Most are submitted by parents 
to their child, some are submitted by students to 
their friends. These are called Ads because they 
are purchased. They greatly help to defray the 
cost of the yearbook production! Detailed 
information about submitting and paying for all 
size ads will be mailed over the summer. You can 
start to think about the words and pictures you 
want to include in your ad now, to be ready to 
submit all materials to us for the ad in the 
fall! Be sure to submit your ads on time to be 
included in the yearbook! We may be able to 
extend the deadline for a $30 fee, but we won’t know until the fall.

Due by December 1  - Yearbook orders
Yearbook orders need to be placed online by this 
date with the publisher; further details will be 
mailed in the fall. We order about 50 extra 
copies to sell at the end of the year along with 
the pre-ordered ones, but it is expected that the 
majority of students pay for and order their 
yearbooks online prior to December 1st.
