If you would like to help the Class of 2010 in a quiet unobtrusive
way; otherwise known as stealth work, because your sons or daughters,
if they are like mine, would be mortified to see you in the environs
of CCHS, then here is something for you.
There is a wonderful tradition for sophomore and junior parents .
Juniors dislike seeing their parents at school even more than
Sophomores, if that is possible, so the Sophomore parents help with
their Junior Prom reception. Next year the Sophomore parents will
help us by preparing a reception for our class.
Please consider bringing water, or making kabobs, or helping on the
day or evening of the prom.
If you would like to work completely in stealth mode, you can bring 48
8 ounce bottles of water to the designated private storing place. In
this way, you can eliminate being seen at the school and no one will
disclose your "involvement" to "you know who." Even 24 bottles
would be helpful. We'll let you know the secret spot if you respond to
this message.
If you do not feel like carrying all that weight, then perhaps you
would like to help us make fruit kabobs. We are thinking a single
piece of fruit (pineapple, kiwi, melon, or other types of fruit) on a
toothpick would work well. We need approximately 6 people to help
with the kabobs. Again, this can be done in stealth mode. We'll keep
your involvement under wraps.
We are also looking for people to set up and clean up the reception
areas, so if you, one of your friends, or your husband would be
interested, please contact us.
Or, if you would just like to chaperone and pass out fruit and mints,
that would be helpful, too. Know that you would be in the front lines
in this capacity and "you know who" might find out.
If you are interested in helping in any of these ways, send mail to mary at horvaths.org
.
Thanks from all the Class Advisors.
Mary
