[CCHS-2011] Junior Prom Information

Hello Parents of Juniors:

As you know, this year’s Junior Prom is scheduled for Friday, May 14 and is being held at the Burlington Marriot. The following are some of the important details.

Tickets:  Prom tickets will be on sale in the CCHS cafeteria during all three lunch blocks Tuesday, April 27 through Friday, May 7. Ticket price is $65 per person. Checks are payable to CCHS Class of 2011. Persons for whom the ticket cost proves a problem should please contact Mr. Pennucci (kpennucci at colonial.net<mailto:kpennucci at colonial.net>) or Ms. Sechman (csechman at colonial.net<mailto:csechman at colonial.net>).

It is totally acceptable if one Junior is going with another Junior that each buy his or her own ticket. Going as groups of friends is also totally acceptable.

Guest Permission Forms:  Any student bringing someone from a different school must complete a Guest Permission Form. The form is attached. It can also be obtained from Mr. Pennucci (Room S11). This form must be submitted prior to the purchase of any ticket to the prom.  It must be completed and signed by an authorized administrator of the guest’s school. This type of permission form is typically signed by a principal, assistant principal, or in a private school by a headmaster, dean of students or academic dean. Most schools in our area are very familiar with this type of request and the main office at the guest’s school can assist in getting the proper signature.

Schedule: Students will gather at the high school between 5:30 and 6:00 PM for a required check-in. They will be welcomed by a reception, hosted by the Sophomore class, as they arrive.

The students will begin to board the buses at 6:00 PM. Many, many families and friends gather outside of the high school to view this traditional Red Carpet walk to the buses.

Please note: All students and chaperones must travel to and from the Burlington Marriot on the buses rented by the class. The buses return everyone to the high school by 11:30 PM.

Pictures at the Prom:  The class has selected Pierre Chiha Photography to take photos at the Burlington Marriott. Ordering information is attached to this email, and will also be available as tickets are purchased.

Parent Social: A Parent Social will be held once the buses leave at the home of Tom and Annette Bagley, 77 Lexington Rd, Concord on Friday, May 14 from 6:30ish to 10:00 PM.  The invitation is attached.
