[CCHS-2011] Senior Portrait/Yearbook Deadlines Approaching

Dear Class of 2011 Parents:



This is a preliminary message to let you know deadlines for submission to the CCHS yearbook are

rapidly approaching. While we are still waiting for the school's official deadline, in previous years it has been EARLY IN THE SECOND WEEK OF SCHOOL. PLEASE WATCH FOR A MESSAGE FROM THE

YEARBOOK STAFF DETAILING THE DEADLINE AND ALSO GUIDELINES FOR THESE YEARBOOK

SUBMISSIONS. Missing the deadline means that your child will not be included in the yearbook. The following portraits/photos may be submitted:



Senior Portrait:



Senior portraits should be taken during the summer to be sure they are available in time.  Students/parents are free to choose any photographer you would like. You have probably already received mailings from Pierre Chiha Photography, Deedo Painter, Chamberlain Schaefer Photography, and Nancy Roberts, all of whom have taken portraits for CCHS students in the past. Some photographers may submit the photo directly to the CCHS yearbook staff for you. The only requirements for the senior portrait are that the photo should be 5x7, 300dpi (min), a medium shot (i.e. not a full-body picture, generally from the waist up or closer), and in good taste.



Parent Ads:



Parents have the opportunity to place ads in the yearbook. Students will not see parent ads until the

yearbook is distributed in the spring. Ads cannot be emailed or included with any other submissions.

Please keep these ads separate. Details will follow.



 First Day of School:



The yearbook staff would like any pictures taken the first day of school.



Baby Pictures & Write-ups:



Write-ups are in the form of informal text that appears next to a baby picture of each senior. They

are written by the student and usually include thank-you messages and memories. See past yearbooks for examples. Write-ups cannot be longer than 550 characters. Please email the write-up and a digital jpeg image of the baby picture to: yearbook at colonial.net.<mailto:yearbook at colonial.net.>



Senior Summer Pictures:



These are pictures of what the seniors and their friends did over the summer.



Remember When/Back in the Day Pictures:



Generally these are childhood pictures, but they will accept anything before senior year. Please identify

all the people in the picture.



Junior Prom/Sophomore Semi Pictures:



Pictures of Junior Prom 2010 & Sophomore Semi 2009



SUBMITTING INFORMATION:



Pictures can be submitted by email (yearbook at colonial.net<mailto:yearbook at colonial.net>), CD, or regular mail. You may also drop photos off in the main office in either the Yearbook mailbox or Mr. Sapp's mailbox.



Some notes:



1.  PLEASE be sure all photos have the student's name written on the back as ALL photos will be returned.

2.  If you submit anything via email make sure you get confirmation from the yearbook staff so that you know they received what you sent to them! Also, give your email a proper subject name (i.e., "Jesse Kass Baby Photo Submission") so that the staff can keep track of everything! You may email the Senior Portrait, Baby picture/write-up, Senior Summer, First Day of School, Prom/Semi and Remember When photos. Again, please properly name your email!

3.  If you have a lot of these pictures, it may be easier to burn them to a CD and give the CD to the yearbook staff. Just label the CD and mail it to them or drop it off at the yearbook office.
