[CCHS-2013] CCHS Class of 2013 -- Request for Donations for Teacher Conference Night

*Hello Freshman Parents*!

Thursday December 3rd is the day that parents can schedule one-on-one
meetings with their student's teachers between 2pm and 8pm.  You received
the sign-up forms for those conferences from Louise Coleman a few weeks ago.

To show our appreciation for our teachers, *the parents donate* meals and
gifts for the teachers; Sara Zirkel is the chairperson this year.  I know
she's sent out a few emails -- I've collected them here.

Whatever you can do is very much appreciated.  *There are three ways* you
can help:

1. Provide gift certificates (we make sure every teacher receives a gift)
2. Provide food (this year the freshman parents are providing the baked
goods that the teachers will receive as a first-thing-in-the-morning goody
bag)
3. Help set-up, serve or clean-up for the meal.

*GIFT CARDS*

 Dear CCHS Parents...
I am in need of many, many gifts to give our wonderful teachers as
"give-aways" during the upcoming Conference Night Dinner on Thursday,
December 3, 2009.

After some covert questioning by me, the general feeling was that any
denomination GIFT CARD was the favorite gift of past years. They by no
means were unhappy with the years' past gifts, but simply, very much
enjoyed the GIFTCARDS, especially at that time of year.

(And truly, a GIFTCARD is often the easiest of easy to search out and
purchase for us as parents!)

Please know that the teachers (and I!) will be grateful for any and
everything that you are willing to give, and you can either drop things at
my home--38 Magnolia Street in Concord (small road off Walden Street past
the Fire Station)--anytime during the week prior to Thursday, or bring it
to the school on the day of conferences prior to 4 PM.

I would LOVE to have a gift for everyone-please help me do that with your
generous donations!

P.S.-If I get a truly extra-ordinary gift, I will use it as a raffle
during the dinner!

*FOOD*

Dear Freshman Parents:

Can you please help me with any size donation of fresh baked
goodies--cookies, brownies, banana breads, etc. that I can put in "goody
bags" for the teachers on Conference Day morning, Thursday December 3, 2009.


Ideally, these goodies can be dropped off at my home on December 2 any time
during the day (38 Magnolia Street in Concord, off of Walden the small
street past the Fire Station) so I can make sure I have enough for each
teacher for the morning.

*SET-UP, SERVE, CLEAN-UP*

Dear CCHS Parents,

I am in need of several people to help with set-up, serving, and clean-up
on Teacher Conference Night Thursday,December 3, 2009 starting at 12 noon
(for set-up),  4-5 PM (for serving) and 5:15 for clean-up.

Please call or email me if you are available to lend a hand. The teachers
so appreciate this dinner after the long day they put in holding
conferences.
