Different sections of the music department will be participating in the
statewide music competitions this weekend at different high schools in the
area.  The chorus will be in Gardner, Ma. on Friday night and the band and
orchestra will be in Lexington on Sunday afternoon. Please support these
groups with attendance at the competition or the orchestra at their open
dress rehearsal Thursday night at CCHS auditorium 7:30pm.

Has the War on Terror gone too far?  Come see PERSONS OF INTEREST this
Friday from 7-9pm in the little theater, a movie, recently screened at the
Sundance Film Festival, that interviews Muslim immigrants who were
detained, often without charges, by the US government after 9/11.  The
film is one hour long and discussion will follow.  This event is sponsored
by the Concord Carlisle Community Education, the Concord Civil Liberties
Committee, the Concord-Carlisle League of Women Voters, and Amnesty
International Group 15.  That's Friday, 7-9pm, in the little theater -
admission is free.

The representative from Jostins will be in the caf. on Wed., April 7th &
Thurs., April 8th to take orders for Class Rings. If you did not get one &
would like one please stop by the office.  Review your ring packet with
your parents.  Follow the instructions & bring the form with your payment
to the representative on April & 7th or 8th.

Attention All Poets: It’s time to put together your entry for the English
Dept.’s annual Paula Sirois (pronounced sih-roy) Poetry Contest.  Bring
your two or three poems to the English Office- no names please, your entry
will be assigned a number.  The deadline is Tues., April 6th – that’s next
week!

There will be important Reflections meetings today. & Thurs. after school
in the Reflections room. Don’t miss ‘em – we’ll be wrapping up the issue.

Come to Model UN tonight from 5:30-6:30.  We’ll be voting for next year’s
officers.  See you there.

Attention all Seniors!  The Concord-Carlisle Scholarship application is
due no later than Thurs. April 1st.  
All applications must be passed into Mrs. Tessari.  Applications will not
be accepted after this date.

Nomination forms are available from Mrs. Coleman in the main office for
the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest Service Award for Outstanding Service
in the Field of Human Services.  A student may be nominated by someone or
nominate themselves.  Some examples of community service would be -
Student plans and provides support services for an impaired/confined
student, adult, or senior citizen.  Student organizes a group clean-up,
repair or maintenance project for an individual or agency.  Student works
with a child who can benefit from extra help and encouragement in the
arts, athletics, etc.   Nomination deadline is April 14th.  Nomination
forms will not be accepted after that date.  Nomination forms should be
returned to Mrs. Coleman in the main office.

Congratulations to Jessie Weinstein and Collin Brady for being elected to
the Student Advisory Council.

Don’t miss The Beat: Reflections Radio tonight from 6-7:30 on WIQH 88.3fm
where student band The Red Light District will be performing live.

All sophomores should be on their way to the H-building for MCAS Testing. 
Please remember to bring a pencil.
