There will be a SADD Meeting today right after school in S-27.
Amnesty International will meet today from 4:30-5:30 in H-3. Anyone
interested in seeing the Former Child Soldiers presentation should come
to the meeting or talk to Adrienne Zak. All are welcome.
Did you remember to bring books to donate to the library swap shelf?
Winning dept. will be announced on Thursday @ noon. You dont have much
time! Come by the library to see whos ahead.
Transcript money is due now! You will not receive your graduation
invitations unless this is paid in full. Please inform Mrs. Tessari of
your final decision or any other plans that you may have for the year
following graduation.
April is library month! To celebrate, the library is hosting a reading
contest6. How many books can you read in 1 month? Starting April 1st
through April 30th, for every book you finish, fill out an entry slip &
put it in the box in the lower library. There will be prizes, so get
reading & tell your friends.
Attention all sophomores: If you are interested in helping out with the
semi. Please come to the meetings very Thurs. (theres one today) in S-27
@ 5pm. Check out the bulletin boards for info.
Nomination forms are available from Mrs. Coleman in the main office for
the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest Service Award for Outstanding Service
in the Field of Human Services. A student may be nominated by someone or
nominate themselves. Some examples of community service would be -
Student plans and provides support services for an impaired/confined
student, adult, or senior citizen. Student organizes a group clean-up,
repair or maintenance project for an individual or agency. Student works
with a child who can benefit from extra help and encouragement in the
arts, athletics, etc. Nomination deadline is April 14th. Nomination
forms will not be accepted after that date. Nomination forms should be
returned to Mrs. Coleman in the main office.
Maureen Taggart Community Service Award
Under the guidance of the Recreation Commission, the Maureen Taggart
Memorial Award is open to any high school Senior who is a resident of
Concord or Carlisle. The candidate will have demonstrated exemplary
voluntary service to his/her community. The unique feature of this award
is that the recipient has the privilege to designating a deserving
organization to receive a financial grant in Maureen's name. Nominations
may be made by the citizenry of Concord and Carlisle and any faculty
member or student of the candidates school. Nomination forms may be
picked up from Mrs. Coleman in the main office. Nomination forms must be
returned to Mrs. Coleman by April 26th.
It's time to apply to be a station manager next year. Stop by the station
and see what you can do. And if you're not a WIQH member, you can still
apply. See Ned Roos at WIQH for more information. Applications must be
completed by April 16.
