--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chaperones are still needed for the Senior Safari on Saturday June 5th. To ensure that graduation night will be safe and fun, all seniors are invited to an all-night substance free graduation Senior Safari party held at CCHS. For 14 years this party has been organized and supported by CCHS parents - with much help from the community. The cafeteria is transformed into a jungle with many activities all night long, including dancing, arcades, karaoke, palm reading, gym activities, hypnotist show, and much more. It is an event all seniors look forward to and it is enjoyed by all. Parents of freshman, sophomores and juniors are asked to chaperone this event. Senior parents are responsible for cleaning up the day after. Come and see what it is all about! Consider signing up with a friend or your spouse!
Thanks for your support.
Please call or email Lisa Philippou at (978)369-2878, seniorsafari at yahoo.com.

Annual Appeal Update
from the Parents Association
Thank you all so much for your incredible support and generosity! To date, we have received over $26,000, which will be allocated entirely to teacher and staff grants. Two times each academic year, the grants committee requests and considers proposals for creative programs and initiatives, speakers, books, supplies, repairs, equipment, and school enhancements. Each grant is individually evaluated for its impact to CCHS, the number of students it will serve, and several other criteria. During the last 12 months, we have funded a variety of grants, impacting all departments and most of our student body.
Some examples of your generous donations hard at work are:
12 DVD's for the Chinese courses
Climbing equipment for the rock wall
3 digital cameras for the Art & Science Departments
Teaching materials for the Biology curriculum
Computer Projector for the Social Studies Department
Developmental Assets Materials for Administrators
Films for parent discussion groups hosted by the Guidance Department
Improvements to the Training Room in the Gym
And MUCH MUCH More!
In addition to the many parents thanked in last month's newsletter, the Parents Association wishes to thank the following CCHS families for their support since our initial thank you list was published. Please know that the annual appeal campaign is not over yet! Donations are still gratefully accepted. Make checks payable to: CCHS Parents Association and mail to
70 Alford Circle, Concord, MA 01742
