Concord residents - Don't forget to vote on June 8th!
Will you, your spouse, your partner, your neighbor, or your friends be out of town on June 8th?  
Will you be absent from Concord just during polling hours (7:00am - 8:00pm) that day?
If so, don't miss the opportunity to vote by absentee ballot.

How do I get an absentee ballot?
It is easy and there are several options:
1)       You can simply go to the Town Clerks office in the Town House and vote by absentee ballot in person at any time. The Town Clerks office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and on Thursday evenings until 6:00 pm.

2)     If you cannot get to the Town House in person, you can request an absentee ballot several ways: 

§         Download the request form from the following address:  http://www.state.ma.us/sec/ele/eleifv/howabs.htm

§         Request a ballot from the Town House in writing.  Be sure to include your name, address as registered, address where you wish the absentee ballot sent, and your signature.

Ø       Submit the form or written request for an absentee ballot to the Town Clerk's Office, 22 Monument Square, P.O. Box 535 Concord, MA 01742 or fax to 978-318-3093. The request form or letter can be mailed to the Town House or delivered by an immediate family member.  All requests for absentee ballots must be received by noon on Monday June 7th-the day before the election. 

Ø       If the absentee ballot is going to be sent to you by mail, be sure to allow enough time to receive it and return it back to the Town House on time (see below).

How do I submit an absentee ballot?  When is it due back to the Town House?
Ø       Absentee ballots can be submitted by mail or hand delivered, and must be received back to the Town Clerks Office, 22 Monument Square, P.O. Box 535 Concord, MA 01742 (first floor of the Town House) by 8:00 pm on Election Day, Tuesday, June 8th.  Postmarks do NOT count, so please allow sufficient time if returning an absentee ballot by mail!  Do not return absentee ballots to the polls.

What if I have questions?
Ø       Contact the Town Clerk's Office at 978-318-3080, or via e-mail at TownClerk at concordnet.org. The Town Clerks office is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and on Thursday evenings until 6:00 pm.

Swimming Lengths to Raise Funds to Build the Center

Rain Date: Sunday, June 20

Swimmers of all ages and skill levels are invited to swim for funds.
Swimmers solicit pledges for every completed length they swim at the Heritage Pool. Membership is not necessary for this event, and any stroke is permitted. Pledge forms are available ­here (click here), at www.ccpools.org, and at Hunt Recreation Center, Stow Street, Concord.
