The phone company has been putting the final touches on the phone system at
the high school. Parents can call 978-318-1417 and then access a directory
to reach a staff person's phone or voice mailbox, the absence line, school
departments, and other locations within the building. The system may still
need fine tuning so the high school administration asks parents to be
patient. 

++++++++++++++++ WHO'S CALLING, PLEASE? +++++++++++++++++

Friends of Football (FOF) has contracted with a company to put together its
football program book. The company will be soliciting advertising by calling
businesses in Concord and Carlisle, and donations by calling residents of
both towns. FOF would like everyone to know that these phone calls are
legitimate. You are in no way obligated to donate. If you have questions,
concerns, or complaints please do NOT call the school. Contact Bob or
Lorraine Stone at home 978-371-3069, or any FOF board member.

+++++++++++++++ ALRIGHT ALCOTT! ++++++++++++++++++

CCHS student volunteers are needed to help with the Grand Opening
Celebration for the new Alcott School on Sunday, September 12, from 1:30 to
6 p.m. (rain date: Sunday, Sept. 19).  Volunteers earn community service
credits. To volunteer, call Leila Parke at (978) 371-8949 or email

++++++ GIVE ME A C, GIVE ME AN O... GIVE ME A COACH! ++++++++++++

CCHS desperately needs a cheerleading coach, as the former coach resigned
just before the beginning of the school year. Gymnastics or cheering
experience provide the most useful background for the position.
