+++++ *GET THE INSIDE SCOOP +++++
All parents are invited to the first general Parents Association (PA)
meeting of the year on Monday, October 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the CCHS library.
This year PA meetings will be similar to the Principal's Coffee providing
parents who are unable to come to the monthly daytime coffees a chance to
hear about how things are going at the school and to ask Principal Art
Dulong about any items of concern. Refreshments will be served.
+++++ MAKE CONNECTIONS +++++
Any parents who paid PA dues but did not pick up their copy of the
"Connections" CCHS directory at Back to School Night, can pick it up from
Martha Hammer in the main office any morning. Please try to get your copy by
the end of this month.
+++++ **GET GLAD, GO PLAID +++++
The Concord-Carlisle High School Performing Arts Program presents FOREVER
PLAID, a musical that revives the harmony of four-part guy groups from the
fifties. Four CCHS students -- junior Dylan Levers and seniors Travis Minor,
Alex Brewer, and Michael Johnson -- play the four "Plaids" who come back in
the present to do the show they never got to perform in life. A popular
musical that includes some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the '50s,
performed in close harmony with energetic choreography, FOREVER PLAID keeps
audiences rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to the music.
Performances are October 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carlisle School
auditorium, and October 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Concord-Carlisle High
School. Tickets are $15 and will be available at the door or at ccpops.org.
Go to ccpops.org for more information.
+++++ GET IN THE SWIM +++++
The new Concord/Carlisle Community Swim and Health Center is scheduled to
open in December 2005. It is being built as a public facility and will be
open to Concord and Carlisle residents and town organizations. CC Pools
invites the community to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday,
October 20, at the Minute Man Arc (1269 Main Street), to learn more about
the Center and the many recreational and therapeutic opportunities that will
be available to families and individuals of all ages and abilities. This
will be a special night for the community to be informed and ask questions
about this future community asset.
+++++ HAVE A BALL! +++++
Come laugh and cheer on Friday, October 29, 7 p.m. at CCHS, as the Harlem
Wizards deliver high-flying basketball excitement. The Wizards will take on
the CC Pool-A-Hoops featuring Concord and Carlisle notables such as Alcott
School's Ms. Sharon Young, Mr. Tim Goudreau, Mr. Andrew Wineman, Thoreau
School's Ms. Beth Murphy, CMS's Mr. Arthur Unobskey, Fenn School's Mr. Bob
Starensier, Mr. John Fitzsimmons, Concord Police Department's Paul Macone,
