[CCHS] NEASC visit

mailing of this message.


Hello,
	
	For a couple years I have been giving you periodic updates to let you
know that CCHS will be visited by an independent group of educators who
will be assessing what we do and how well we do it, especially with
regards to our stated Mission (which can be found in our handbooks,
program of studies, and other official documents and which is abbreviated
Commitment, Citizenship, Harmony, and Scholarship). The visit is scheduled
from 11/14/04 - 11/17/04. They will be meeting with all manner of CCHS
constituents, including parents. Ultimately they will produce a report
which will include recommendations for improvement along with
commendations for things they think we do well. This will also include
accreditation or actions we would have to take to continue our
accreditation. They have set aside two times to meet with parents.

	The first is Sunday, November 14 from 3:00PM-3:40PM in room A8
	The second is Monday, November 15 from 4:45PM-5:45PM in room A8

	
	I believe they will have a series of prepared questions and also be open
to other comments. They would like a manageable group (as opposed to an
auditorium full), but the invitation is open to the first twenty or so who
respond with a willingness to speak to these people. If you are willing
please call or email Sharon Trainor. She will be keeping the list. They
want two distinct groups of parents, so you would be volunteering for only
one of the above times.

	Also, on Sunday afternoon (11/14) there will be a panel presentation to
the committee regarding the school and the self study we completed last
year. That is scheduled for 1:45PM -2:55PM. There is a brief reception for
these folks on Sunday afternoon at 4:45PM.  Parents are invited to any of
these activities.
