The Concord Police Department and the Concord Rotary will be sponsoring
RAD, Rape Aggression Defense systems, for females. RAD is a realistic
self-defense program teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies,
including hands-on defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program.
This is a four-week course using simple and easy to learn techniques,
providing an effective and proven method of self-defense. RAD classes will
be held Wednesday evenings May 4, 11, 18, 25. Class times are 6:30PM to
8:45PM (approximately). Classes will be held at the old Alcott school
gymnasium, currently Thoreau school. High School females are encouraged to
participate. Class size is limited, to register or for more information

POETS! The deadline for submitting to the English Department's annual
Paula Sirois Poetry Contest is coming up fast: Get your submissions to
Mrs. Cox in the English department office by Wednesday afternoon of this
week. No names, please - you'll be assigned a number when you drop off
your two- or three-poem entry. Go for it!
"Guess what? All you IQH fans are in luck! The deadline for order forms
for sweatpants and sweatshirts has been pushed back! Stop by the station
today to pick up a form, or turn yours in. Remember to give them to Ned,
Alicia, or any manager by Friday, April 29th. Get yours today!"
The 3rd trial of the second round of the 11th Annual Moot Court
competition will take place this Thurs. @ 2:20 in H-6. Condon & Lawrence
take on Buonomo & Schnietzer. All are invited.
SENIOR PROJECT PARTICIPANTS - THIS IS THE LAST CALL FOR JOURNALS, DUE IN
TO THE ENGLISH OOFICE BY THE CLOSE OF SCHOOL TODAY. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE
REMINDED TO PICK UP THEIR JOURNALS BY FRIDAY.
The spring flip-flop sale will be going on in the cafeteria all this
week.~ Flip-flops are 15 dollars each, and supplies are limited, so run by
the cafeteria and buy a pair for yourself or someone else today.~

The Unplugged School Concert will be held on April 29th in the cafeteria
featuring all types of acts and music.~ Tickets will go on sale the week
after vacation.~

Seniors check the window in the main office for the Materials Not Returned
list. These items need to be cleared up in order to graduate.
There will be a reception in the upper library next Tues., April 12th, to
announce the winners of the short story contest. Mark your calendars now.

Stop by the radio station to pick up order forms for official WIQH fleece
pants and sweatshirts. This comfortable and functional apparel only goes
for 30 dollars each. Pick up your order forms and return them to the
station no later then Tuesday April 12.
The parking in front of the school including around the islands and at
times on the islands themselves, has become a safety issue. The Concord
Police Department and Concord Fire Department ask that motorists obey and
respect the No Parking signs that are posted. Should an emergency occur it
is important that emergency vehicles have access and not be impeded by
illegally parked vehicles. The fine for parking in a No Parking zone is
$15.00. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please be advised that walking on the train tracks behind school is an
arrestable offense. The Concord Police will be monitoring activity on the
train tracks. Please do not walk on the tracks or you will be trespassing.
