+++++ CCPOPS GENERAL MEETING +++++

On *Thursday, September 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Band Room (A-4)*, the
Concord Carlisle
Patrons of Performing Students (CCPOPS) is holding a general meeting to
which all
interested parents are invited. (Please note: this is a change from the
previously announced
date of Oct. 12.) CCPOPS is a non-profit organization created to support
the Concord
Carlisle High School students involved in the performing arts. We are
not a political
organization. We provide our support directly by lending our personal
skills, energy, and
enthusiasm to enhance the quality of the performing arts experiences of
the students. We
also raise funds to support both particular events and the performing
arts programs as a whole.
Performing arts at CCHS include Chorus, Orchestra, Band, Dance, Drama,
and Musicals.
Membership in CCPOPS is open to anyone willing to help--whatever skills,
experience, and
ideas you'd like to share, please do. Questions? Call CCPOPS President
*Diane Payne at
978-287-5031 or email president at ccpops.org*.

+++++ CCPI BOOK GROUP SERIES +++++

Save the Date! The Concord Carlisle Parent Initiative (CCPI) Book Group
Series begins on
*Tuesday, October 18*. We will meet at the *Concord Public Library from
7 to 9 p.m.* to discuss
Raising Resilient Children by Robert Brooks and Sam Goldstein. CCPI has
chosen this book
because of its wide scope of information addressing issues for parents
of all ages of children.
It helps parents look at ways to bring out the best in their children
through their parenting
techniques. The book definitely supports the 40 Developmental Assets
that Concord has
established for raising healthy youth. Kathy Reticker, early childhood
specialist, will be moderating
the discussion. *RSVP: Jeaninecalabria at comcast.net*
