Mike Moore, Public Health Administrator, Concord/Lincoln Health Division,
has asked us to disseminate information about Eastern Equine Encephalitis
(EEE) because of the recent positive finding in a horse in northeastern
Concord. EEE has not been reported in any Concord residents. It is very
rare and is spread by mosquitoes. The Health Division recommends the use
of repellents when outdoors. Please read the attached information for
details. Copies of the attached are available in the Health Office.
