[CCHS] disturbing vandalism

Good morning everyone.

As you dropped off your children this morning, some of you may have
noticed that we have many (12) broken windows adjacent to our front
entrance. This was an act of vandalism, that had to be perpetrated by more
than one person (evidence at the scene) sometime between the hours of
2:30AM and 7:00AM on Sunday morning. These are large windows so the total
cost for repair will be thousands of dollars. This is a very unusual
incident. CCHS students generally take pride in the school. We have almost
no overt vandalism anywhere in the school. Certainly, there has not been
anything this egregious in the time I've been here. There is always the
chance that it was not done by anyone from CCHS, of course. However, I
would ask that you talk to your own children to see if someone might know
something. Generally, people who do such things get little pleasure unless
they can get credit for the act, so they talk. We would definitely
appreciate any leads.

I am sure you all understand that there are several issues involved. One
is the broken windows. The more important issues are the break in trust
and the loss of the feeling of safety when the school is violated in such
a way.

Thanks in advance for any help you might give us in this investigation.
