Book Pals will meet today in the Little Theater at 2:15. You will be
assigned your school & students so it is VERY IMPORTANT that you attend.
The first trial of the first round of the 12th annual Moot Court
competition will take place today at 2:15 in H6. Lunig and Manchester
will take on Meltaus and Paleologue. All are invited, please be on time.
Spring is here, so there will be a brief but MANDATORY meeting for anyone
interested in trying out for spring track & field today at 2:15 in the
faculty dining room. Questions see Mr. Lane in Social Studies Dept.
Students are reminded NOT to take food out of the A-Building. They should
not be taking their lunches into any other building.
The Reflections short story & non-fiction contest deadlines have been
extended to Monday February 27th. Submit NOW! Minimum length is 2500
words. Entries can be dropped off in the blue box in the library or e-mail
to reflectionsmagazine at gmail.com. Good Luck!
Carlisle High School & College Students: The Caroline Hill Scholarship
Applications can be picked up at the registrars office @ CCHS, the Gleason
Public Library or the selectmans office at the Carlisle Town Hall. The
awards are need-based and typically range from $500-2000. The awards are
made in late spring. Caroline Hill left money to the town for cont.
education of Carlisle residents as well as for other financial need.
Seniors
The Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce has two scholarships available.
One for a Concord resident and one for a Carlisle resident. If you are
interested in pursuing a degree in business or business related field eg.
accounting, marketing, finance, etc see Mrs. Coleman in the main office
for an application form. This is a very easy application form. Deadline
is March 1.
Cambridge Savings Bank is offering two scholarships of $2,500 each to
college bound seniors who live in Concord or Carlisle. One of the
scholarshps will go to a student who plans to attend a four year college
and the other to a student who is applying to primarily two-year colleges.
While a B average is a general minimum requirement, students who are
below a 3.0 GPA, but have made significant improvement in recent years
will also be considered.
The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, March 3rd. For more
information or an application, see your guidance counselor or one of the
guidance secretaries.
CCTV is the new TV studio at CCHS! It's in I Building, down the hall from
WIQH. The studio opens at 2 PM weekdays, stop by and check it out! "Don't
just watch TV. Make TV!"
Every Monday night at 6:30 PM the studio is open for YOUTH PRODUCTIONS.
High School students are invited to meet up with Mr. Joyce and TV producer
Charlie Stuart, and make plans for some very cool TV productions.
