+++++/*BARNUM*/* TICKETS AND DATES*+++++

/Barnum/, the tale of one of the greatest showmen in American history,
will be brought to life on the CCHS stage in March. /Barnum/ (music by
Cy Coleman, lyrics by Michael Stewart) is the story of Phineas Taylor
Barnum and the remarkable life he led from sideshow promoter to museum
owner to politician to circus co-owner. This will be a thrilling show,
which will include acrobatic and circus performers along with the usual
actors, singers, and dancers. This musical contains so much energy,
great music, and fun that it is surprising that it is not performed more
often. /Barnum/ opened on Broadway in 1980 and was nominated for 11 Tony
awards that year. Up for Best Musical, it lost to Evita, which is
probably why /Barnum/ is one of the great "obscure" musicals of
Broadway. *Performances are March 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. and March
5 and 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the CCHS Auditorium*. Tickets are $15. All
seats are reserved. Ticket order forms may be picked up at the main
office at CCHS, at the Carlisle or Concord libraries, or at Ferns, the
Cheese Shop, or the West Concord 5 & 10. They may also be downloaded
from ccpops.org <http://www.ccpops.org>. There will also be an *open
dress rehearsal for senior citizens on Wednesday, March 1, at 4:30 p.m.*
Student tickets will be sold in the cafeteria during the week before the
show for $10, limited to one per person. These seats are in a block, but
unreserved within the block, so students can sit with their friends.

+++++*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR */*BARNUM*/* *+++++

All parents of students involved in /Barnum/ are reminded that there are
many needs for volunteers to get this production on stage. People
without students in /Barnum/ are welcome to volunteer as well. Your help
is needed for many small tasks (and some big ones). Please volunteer to
