+++++/*MUSIC MAN*/* COMING TO CMS*+++++
The Concord Middle School (CMS) is getting ready to blow our horn like
we've never blown it before! We've got/ The Music Man/ coming to the
Sanborn Auditorium! The CMS performers will present the story of that
man and his 76 trombones, and the wonderful, wonderful tune he played on
every heart in town on *Friday, March 24 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March
25 at 1 p.m.* Come watch the trouble in River City as the live band
accompanies the student crew and actors dancing and singing their way
through this madcap time in 1912. Tickets are $5 for students or seniors
and $10 for adults. Tickets may be purchased with a check made out to
the Concord Middle School or cash in the Sanborn or Peabody cafeterias
during CMS lunch blocks (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from March 20 through 24), in
the Sanborn or Peabody office, at the dress rehearsal in the Sanborn
Auditorium on Wednesday, March 22, at 1:30 p.m., or--if you're really
daring--at the door.
+++++*LAST CHANCE FOR */*BARNUM*/**+++++
Come see the musical /Barnum/ at the CCHS Auditorium *today and tomorrow
at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.* Tickets may be purchased at the
door for $15. /Barnum/ is the story of P.T. Barnum and the remarkable
life he led from sideshow promoter to museum owner to politician to
circus co-owner. This will be a thrilling show, which will include
acrobatic and circus performers along with the usual actors, singers,
and dancers. See the smallest man, the oldest woman, and the biggest
elephant in the world as CCHS students bring the story to life.

This is a *four-week course* using simple and easy-to-learn techniques
that provide an effective and proven method of self-defense. RAD classes
will be held *Wednesday evenings March 15 and 29, and April 5 and 12,
from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. (approximately). The first class on March 15 will

+++++*AMERICAN FIELD SERVICE RE-ACTIVATED***+++++
American Field Service (AFS) is one of the oldest and most respected
exchange programs in the country, but has many new and exciting
opportunities for intercultural exchange for high school students /and/
post-high school students (18+). Please log onto AFSUSA.ORG
<http://www.AFSUSA.ORG> to explore the possibilities for going abroad
for a summer, a semester, or a year, /or/ for hosting a foreign student
in your home. Possibilities include homestays, language study, and/or
community service. There is a brand new French program for this summer
matching students in the US and France, involving a direct exchange with
the students spending several weeks in the French family, then several
weeks with the US family (applications are due by March 31). Now is the
time to explore options for this summer and next year, or to get some
ideas for the future. Scholarships are available from the Concord
Carlisle AFS
Chapter as well as from AFS-USA. *Local contact: Darien Smith
