The history reading group will be meeting tomorrow afternoon after school
in H-5 to discuss Camille Paglia's article (copies can be found on Mr.
Hoblitzelle's desk). We will also talk about the situation now unfolding
at Duke University. Please come if you are interested.
The Winners of the Reflections short story or non-fiction contests will be
announced today @ 2:15 in the upper Library. Refreshments will be provided.
Come to the Spectrum pizza party today in H4 at 2:10. All are invited.
Anyone interested in participating in the Spring Cabaret should sign up on
the bulletin board outside the chorus room and come to a short meeting
today at 2:15 in I-6.
The third trial of the second round of the 12th Annual Moot Court
Competition will take place today at 2:15 in Room H6. Buonomo and Henesy
will take on Sgro and Wiend. All are invited. Please be on time.
The fourth and last trial of the second round of the 12th Annual Moot
Court competition will take place on Thursday at 2:15 in Room H6. Cross
and Mazur will take on Meltaus and Paleologus. All are invited.
Will all survivors of the second round stop in and see Mr. Cleary to set
up a meeting to discuss the semifinals of the Moot Court Competition?
Scifi club is meeting today at 2:30 in H-12 , where we'll ask, "Who wants
to live forever? The pros and cons of immortality." Pizza will be
provided - all are welcome.
Do you like theater but dont want to be on stage? Why not join the tech.
You can be a big part of the show, learn lighting and design and build
sets. If interested come to an informational meeting today @2:15 in the
auditorium.We need people for the spring play and for next year.
There will be a brief homeroom the first 5 minutes of school on Monday,
April 24th to distribute 3rd quarter attendance. Attendance reports are
due by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 26th.
The 2volunteer committee is accepting applications for Presidential
Service awards. Applications can be found in the main office at CCHS or
by emailing 2volunteer at colonial.net. Awards are given in 3 categories:
Bronze for 100 to 174 hours of service in a 12 month period, Silver for
175 to 249 hours, and Gold for 250 hours. Any CCHS teacher or
administrator may nominate a student, or a student may apply.
Applications must be submitted for 2006 awards by April 28.
Pax Romana is rocking at The Coffee House sponsored by the Alliance for
Teen Safety on Thursday April 13th! Comesee Matt Cronin and his crew
perform their music at the coolest new hangout in town. The Coffee House
is located in the Emerson Umbrella. Refreshments will be sold. Doors
open at 6:30pm. Buy your tickets in the caf. or by the double doors.
Have any old cell phones or used ink cartridges lying around the house?
If so, there is a box in the office for them. They will be recycled and
given to families who are trying to adopt children. Try to get them in by
this Thursday, April 13th!
POETS! Its Time to enter the English Department's annual Paula Sirois
[pronounced sir-roy] poetry contest. Bring your two- or three-poem entry
to the English/Social Studies office by the end of the day Thursday, April
13. Prizes! Fame! Literary Glory! Questions? Ask Mr.Hart or your
English teacher.
Concords Board of Selectmen will hold the 26th Annual Holocaust Memorial
Observance on Sunday, April 30, 7:30pm at the Town House. Mr. Edgar
Krasa, survivor of the Terezin & Auschwitz camps, as well as the Death
March, will be the speaker. He will focus on the children in the camp, on
how they survived separated from their parents, and what impact the
experience had on their future lives. Ms. Rosalie Gerut, daughter of
survivors, will provide her haunting music, and the Reverend Austin
Fleming will give the closing meditation. All are welcome.

Concord Police will issue tickets for vehicle parked in a fire lane,
restricted areas and for vehicles that drive over
the curb and park on the grass! Also no student should be parking in the
lower gym lot. Students are to park only in the student parking lot.
With the start of the Spring Athletic Season this week, all students who
drive to school are reminded that parking in the lower gym lot , the lot
behind the upper gym and on the driveway behind the school is NOT allowed
during school day.(7am-6pm). Students who park in these areas will be
ticketed and possibly towed.

CCTV is the new TV studio at CCHS! It's in I Building, down the hall from
WIQH. The studio opens at 2 PM weekdays, stop by and check it out! "Don't
just watch TV. Make TV!"
Every Monday night at 6:30 PM the studio is open for YOUTH PRODUCTIONS.
High School students are invited to meet up with Mr. Joyce and TV producer
Charlie Stuart, and make plans for some very cool TV productions.
