The English Department thanks all the entrants in this year's Paula Sirois
Poetry contest, and can now announce that, for the first time in the
contest's history, we have two co-winners.  Congratulations this year go
to Sophie Buonomo and Katy Ryan.  The winners, and all those who submitted
entries, may see Mr.Hart in the English Department office to get
theirpoems back.

Students are reminded that if they have not yet received their 3rd quarter
attendance reports please stop by the main office today.  The attendance
reports are due today(4/26) by 2:05.  

The Freshman Class will be will be having a class trip to Six Flags on
Saturday, April 29th.  You should have received a permission slip in
science class.  Permission slips are due by Friday, April 28th.  If you
have any questions please see one of the Freshman Class Officers, Mr.
Miller, or Mr. Pavlik.

It's softball week at Crosby's.  This week only, Crosby's will donate 5%
of your grocery receipt to the CCHS softball program if you bring in a
voucher obtained from a softball player.  Request a voucher from any
softball player or stop in the Health Office to pick some up.

Attention Juniors!!!
See your guidance counselor or English teacher about the SAT II Literature
Prep Course.  Don't delay!

Attention all WIQH members:  Applications are now available for next
year's radio station manager positions.  If you want to be more involved
in the station, this is a great chance.  Stop by WIQH today to  get more
information and pick up an application!

Scificlub will meet today at 2:30 in H-12 to discuss sidekicks - from
Samwise Gamgee to Robin the boy wonder."  Pizza will be provided, all are
welcome.  

SENIOR PROJECT STUDENTS:  Cast your eyes into May and sign up for your
presentation time.  Avoid the last minute panic!  The chart is up and
waiting in the English / Social Studies Office. By the first on your block
(so to speak)!

Attention Sophomores:   The Sophomore Semi-Formal is Saturday, April 29th.
 Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria during all lunch blocks next
week.  Buy your sophomore semi tickets before it is too late!

Dance Club has tickets to see the world-renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Company
at the Wang Center on Friday, April 28.  Tickets are $10, which is the
deal of a lifetime, so see or email Ms. Golding ASAP to reserve one.

Seniors, an updated cap and gown list and materials not returned list has
been posted on the window - if your name is on the list see Mrs. Coleman
now .

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS
TRANSCRIPT MONEY IS DUE NOW.  YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR CAP & GOWN UNLESS
THIS IS PAID IN FULL.  

PLEASE INFORM MRS. TESSARI OF YOUR FINAL DECISION OR OF ANY OTHER PLANS
THAT YOU MAY HAVE FOR THE YEAR FOLLOWING GRADUATION.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION
SAT II CHEMISTRY REVIEW – Mike Vela & Rebecca Lucier
There are still a few spots left in the "Subject Test" in Chemistry.
Emphasis on content materials on the Chemistry Subject Test which may not
have been addressed in the regular Chemistry curriculum (which is not
geared toward a particular exam), as well as reviewing topics covered
during the school year.  $125 Course fee includes text . (Barron’s SAT II
Chemistry). 4 Sundays, April 30 – May 21, 3 – 6 PM at Harvey Wheeler.

I have just received the 2006 application for the Albert B. & Evelyn H.
Black Fund of Concord.  Bank of America serves as Trustee for this account
and offers the scholarship each year to PAST and  PRESENT students of 
Concord-Carlisle High School.  While the availability of funds is
announced in the local papers, we wanted to further publicize the
scholarship.  Applicants can receive up to $3,000 in any academic year and
up to $7,500 total.  They must be in the top half of their high school
class or in good academic standing at their graduate institution. 
Deadline for applications is May 5, 2006.   Application may be picked up
from Mrs. Coleman in the main office.

The 2volunteer committee is accepting applications for Presidential
Service awards.  Applications can be found office at by emailing
2volunteer at colonial.net.   Awards are given in 3 categories: Bronze for
100 to 174 hours of service in a 12 month period, Silver for 175 to 249
hours, and Gold for 250 hours  Applications must be submitted for 2006
awards by April 28.    
Concord’s Board of Selectmen will hold the 26th Annual Holocaust Memorial
Observance on Sunday, April 30, 7:30pm at the Town House.  Mr. Edgar
Krasa, survivor of the Terezin & Auschwitz camps, as well as the Death
March, will be the speaker.  He will focus on the children in the camp, on
how they survived separated from their parents, and what impact the
experience had on their future lives.  Ms. Rosalie Gerut, daughter of
survivors, will provide her haunting music, and the Reverend Austin
Fleming will give the closing meditation.  All are welcome. 

Concord Police will issue tickets for vehicle parked in a fire lane,
restricted areas and for vehicles that drive over
the curb and park on the grass!  Also no student should be parking in the
lower gym lot.  Students are to park only in the student parking lot.

With the start of the Spring Athletic Season  this week, all students who
drive to school are reminded that parking in the lower gym lot , the lot
behind the upper gym and on the driveway behind the school is NOT allowed
during school day.(7am-6pm).  Students who park in these areas will be
ticketed and possibly towed.

CCTV is the new TV studio at CCHS! It's in I Building, down the hall from
WIQH. The studio opens at 2 PM weekdays, stop by and check it out! "Don't
just watch TV. Make TV!" 
Every Monday night at 6:30 PM the studio is open for YOUTH PRODUCTIONS.
High School students are invited to meet up with Mr. Joyce and TV producer
Charlie Stuart, and make plans for some very cool TV productions.
