[CCHS] end of school schedule

Good afternoon,

	As many of you are well aware the end of school at CCHS, and generally in
Massachusetts, seems to be out of synch with many legitimate summer
activities such as camps and educational programs. Indeed, a fair number
of you have already written notes to me to request some relief from the
schedule of finals due to some conflict beginning at some point during
finals. Read the message below closely. The Superintendent has decided to
grant some relief.


	The end of the school year at CCHS will be as follows:

	Tuesday, June 20		Finals for H and G Block classes
	Wednesday, June 21		Finals for F and E Block classes
	Thursday, June 22		Finals for D and C Block classes
	Friday, June 23		Finals for B and A Block classes

	Monday, June 26		Each class period will meet for approximately 22 minutes
					so that teachers can collect outstanding materials, review the
						final exam and, when possible, give grades to students.


	Each day will end at 11:05AM.

	Please note that June 26th is our 180th day of school. Attendance will be
taken as it is on any other day of the year.

	I think this is a prudent decision on the part of the superintendent and
am very grateful to her. While I know there will still be some conflict
issues for some people the number of those issues should be dramatically
reduced by this slight change in schedule. 

	I certainly hope this helps some of you. The latest newsletter contains a
repeat of earlier information regarding CCHS policy should a student not
be able to take finals when scheduled.
