+++++*CHEER TEAM TRY-OUTS*+++++
 
CCHS Cheer Team try-outs will be held *June 12 and 13 at 4 p.m. in the 
lower gym at CCHS*. All are welcome.  Open practice begins June 5 from 4 
to 6 p.m. There is an information packet available in the high school 
main office with Ms. Hammer.

+++++*PERFORMERS' SHOWCASE*+++++
 
On *Saturday, June 3, at 7 p.m. in the CCHS cafeteria*, CCHS junior 
Katrina Walker has organized and is producing a Performers' Showcase to 
give more students an opportunity to perform. There will be about 20 
acts with a wide variety of songs, dances, and skits. Some of the 
student performers have been seen many times on the CCHS stage, 
including Annalee Mulhall, Eric Stengrevics, Campbell Payne, Russell 
Peck, David Jubinsky, Lisa
Yanofsky, and Haley Watson, while others are less well known, but just 
as entertaining. The CCHS cafeteria will be transformed into a relaxed 
cabaret-style theater with seating at tables and refreshments served. 
The performances are appropriate for all ages, so bring the entire 
family. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for kids 
when accompanied by a parent. Tickets at the door. One performance only. 
Don't miss it!

+++++*SUMMER COMMUNITY SERVICE AND INTERNSHIPS*++++
 
Interested CCHS students are invited to apply for a limited number of 
volunteer teacher-assistant positions in the Concord Public Schools 
Elementary reading "camp" which will take place at the *Willard School, 
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, July 5 to August 1*. Volunteers 
must have a serious commitment to helping elementary school students and 
their teachers in a high-quality summer literacy program. Duties include 
helping with classroom management, preparing lessons, assisting with 
small-group and individual instruction, and supervising recess

+++++*COMMUNITY ED. POSITION OPEN***+++++
 
A Community Education position is open for a Parent Education 
Facilitator and Early Childhood Educator for Early Childhood Education 
Programs in the Concord and Concord-Carlisle schools. The programs meet 
*Wednesday and Friday, 2 hours each day, at the Ripley Building starting

+++++*GRADUATION RECEPTION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*+++++

The Junior Class still in needs volunteers to assist with the Graduation 
Reception on *Saturday, June 10*. This event is hosted by the Junior 
Class (we are grateful for Sophomore and Freshman parent volunteers as 
well). We especially need volunteers to assist *between 2 and 4:30 p.m. 
on June 10*. There are also other opportunities available to support 
this event if you are unable to help on the 10th. All assistance is 
welcomed.

    * Cookie Donations: bake 3 dozen cookies (*contact Alex Ward
      directly at Jeffrey.r.ward at verizon.net

    * Volunteer on the Day of Reception: assist with set-up and food
      preparation from 2 to 3 p.m. or assist as a server from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
    * Donate a case or two of 8 oz. or 16 oz. water bottles
    * Lend us your plastic punch bowl and ladle
    * Lend us your large cooler or galvanized tub
    * Make a monetary donation to offset the cost of the reception.
