+++++*EMERSON UMBRELLA VOLUNTEER POSITIONS*+++++
 
Here's a great opportunity for those who love art and enjoy working with 
children! The Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts invites CCHS students 
to apply for a limited number of volunteer Aide-in-Training positions in 
its summer program for children ages 5 through 12, Summer Arts Under the 
Umbrella. Summer Arts is a weekly program that offers children 
instruction in drawing and painting, ceramics, mixed media, cartooning, 
woodworking, and other visual arts, taught by professional 
artist/teachers. Duties include helping with classroom management, 
preparing art materials, assisting individual students, supervising 
recess activities, and generally having fun. Please apply by *contacting

+++++*GRADUATION RECEPTION THANKS*+++++
 
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year's Graduation 
Reception for the Class of 2006. Although the weather forced us inside, 
the event was a huge success thanks to the support of over 75 parents 
and students. Thank you to the cookie bakers, the water donators, and 
the punch bowl and cooler lenders. Thank you especially to those who 
gave of your time to assist in setting up, serving refreshments, and 
cleaning up. Special appreciation goes to our area coordinators: Medha 
Ganmukhi, Kelly Ford, Alex Ward, Bev Castrichini, and Dottie Sullivan, 
without whose help the event would not have run so smoothly. And thank 
you to the kitchen and janitorial staff at CCHS for their assistance and 
support.
