[CCHS] First quarter report cards

Good afternoon to all,

	Just an FYI - 

	I met today with department chairs, secretarial staff, and the athletic
director to consider the time frame for the processing of grades for the
first semester. As a result of issues discussed at these meetings we will
be following a slightly altered schedule for the processing and
distribution of report cards first quarter.

	Grades close Friday 11/10. they must be complete and into the computer by
3:00PM on Monday 11/20. Then we will have to do a test run of report cards
and verify accuracy. Typically we have to do this twice before we are
convinced they are as accurate as we can get them. Keep in mind we are
checking more then just the grades. There is attendance, credit reduction,
athletic eligibility status, and honor roll status as well. The report
cards will be distributed on Tuesday 11/28 before the end of the day. 

	Of course, virtually all teachers give students their grade before the
report card is produced. A conversation with your child (or the teacher)
should provide you the information you seek if you are anxious about the
upcoming grade report.
