[CCHS] Something you should know

To the parents and students of the CCHS community,

	This morning I delivered letters to Brenda Finn and Michael Fitzgerald
officially informing them of my intent to retire effective June 30, 2007.
This decision has consumed a great deal of my time over the past months,
but it is made without regrets.

I have had the extraordinary privilege to work in a system that values
education as highly as the Concord-Carlisle Regional School District. The
system is truly well served by everyone associated with the delivery of
education service. The system is especially well served by the students
and parents who benefit from the service. On a daily basis the students
here amaze me with their enthusiasm, their talents, their intelligence,
their commitment to improvement, and the genuine respect they show to
everyone around them. They are wonderful. Additionally, wherever I turn
there is another parent finding a way to help the school become a better
place for students. I am grateful to all of you for all of that. I am also
grateful for all that has been done in support of me as I worked to do my
part to fulfill the mission of CCHS. I am ever aware of the awesome trust
you placed in me and humbly have worked towards deserving that trust.
Students and parents united to build the school they desire is a powerful
force from which I have benefited enormously.

	I am forever indebted to all the people who enriched my life throughout
these years. Thank you for your kindness and patience, your wisdom, and
your support for me as I struggled through a multitude of difficult
decisions. Having no regrets about retirement does not necessarily make
severing myself from such fine people any easier. I wish all of you the
best as you move forward facing every new challenge. I know the students
who attend CCHS are well equipped to conquer these challenges.

	In the meantime, I assure you that for the next six months I will
continue to provide to CCHS the highest level of service that my abilities
will allow.
