Join Concord Carlisle Parent Initiative (CCPI) on *Tuesday, January 16 
at 7:30 p.m. at CCHS* for an informative evening with Daniel Simone, 
LMHC, School Adjustment Counselor at CCHS. He will speak with parents 
and guardians about normal adolescent development, offering strategies 
for improved communication and how to foster independence in the 
mid-adolescent years. Topics will include: Normal Adolescent 
Development; Building Resiliency; Strategies for Improved Communication; 
How to Foster Independence; Identifying Risk Factors; Realistic 
Expectations. Daniel Simone has worked as a therapist and high school 
counselor for the past 9 years. He is new to the CCHS community this 
year, having been a school counselor at Newton North High School. He is 
an adjunct faculty member in the graduate counseling programs at Lesley 
University and Cambridge College. Everyone is welcome. Suggested

*+++++** CARE PACKAGE FUNDRAISER FOR CLASS OF '09** * *+++++*

Want to support your son or daughter during the stressful week of 
midyear exams? Send them a Care Package! Midyear exam week is a time 
when students are constantly studying and could really use a boost of 
energy. Sending your child a care package is one way to help him or her 
out during this time. Care Packages contain many treats including fruit, 
cookies, bottled water, candy, granola bar, pencil, Cheez-its, and a 
coupon for use in the cafeteria. For $15, you can send your child a care 
package that will be delivered to him or her the week of exams. The 
deadline for orders is Friday, January 12. To obtain an order form,

*C. C. Pools, Inc. is hosting a Grand Finale to celebrate and complete 
its decade-long quest to fund the design and construction of the Beede 
Swim and Fitness Center. On *Sunday, January 28*, non-profit C. C. Pools
