[CCHS] FYI - very sad

Good morning to all,
	
	Just a minute ago I got confirmation from the local police department
that there was a fatal stabbing at Lincoln-Sudbury HS this morning. There
were absolutely no details shared with me other than it was an incident
between two students from that school as opposed to something connected to
an intruder. There is no cause for us at CCHS to be concerned for our
safety or our students' safety with respect to this incident.

	However, there is great cause for us to pause to reflect on the tragic
sadness of the event, the overwhelming loss of security that folks must be
feeling at LS, and the unquestionable similarity of culture that we share
with LS. When we speak about being vigilant, about being a community,
about having responsibility for each other during the day these are not
hollow words. We have sent several of our counseling staff to LS to help
in whatever way they can with grieving or whatever emotional reactions
need to be addressed. 

	I am sending this to dispell any potential rumors that will almost
predictably flow from such a tragic event.
