[CCHS] Counseling department meeting 1/24

Dear Parents,

	Tomorrow night, Wednesday, January 24th,  the Counseling Department will
be presenting a special evening program for sophomore parents featuring
High School Counselor Alison Furey and School Adjustment Counselor Kelli
Kirshtein. Ms.  Furey will be describing the Counseling (Guidance)
curriculum and focusing specifically on issues for tenth graders. Ms.
Kirshtein will facilitate a discussion on adolescent issues, communication
between teens and parents, and strategies for engaging with teens, as well
as red flags and resources to address concerns.  

	Recognizing that the recent tragedy in our neighbor school,
Lincoln-Sudbury, is very much on the minds of parents, our counselors will
make time for parents to share their thoughts about issues that relate to
what happened last week, including ways to talk to children/teens about
the tragedy and about school safety in general. If you are not the parent
of a sophomore and wish to attend, you are certainly welcome, although
much of the program will be specifically geared to the tenth grade
parents.  The program will take place in the CCHS auditorium from 7:30-9pm.
