Parents:
The town of Concord has begun a program to promote water conservation,
called the Community Conservation Challenge. As it fits so well with our
curriculum CCHS Earth Science has put a team together. If you are a
resident of Concord we are asking you to join us. All you have to do is
fill out the attached form called Participant Application and mail it in.
It's very short, should take you 2 minutes. If your family saves water
this summer, as compared to past years, the town will donate money ($2 per
person in your home for each percent decrease of water use) to the charity
of our choice (Gaining Ground www.gainingground.org). If you do not
conserve water, then nothing happens.
After you have joined we will provide you some tips on conserving water.
It is our hope to have 250 Concord households join our team. If you are
not a Concord resident but are still interested in learning about ways to
conserve water, please email me.
