*+++++** EVITA** * *+++++*

Tickets for CCHS' musical production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Evita" go 
on sale Saturday, February 10. Winner of seven Tony awards, "Evita" is 
the story of Eva Duarte, a young actress who rose from obscurity to 
become the first lady of Argentina. As the wife of President Juan Peron, 
she became a national sensation and icon until her death from cancer at 
age 33. "Evita" is not a typical musical, but is an opera. Everything is 
sung: there are no spoken lines! It has a rock/pop component to the 
music, as well as traditional string orchestra sounds. There is a 
decidedly Latin beat to much of the music. Performances are in the CCHS 
auditorium on *Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3, at 7:30 p.m., and 
Sunday, March 4, at 2:30 p.m.* The show is again performed the following 
weekend, *March 9 and 10 at
7:30 p.m. and March 11 at 2:30 p.m*. Tickets for all performances are 
$15, and $10 for students and seniors. All seats are reserved, and

instead of 7:35 a.m. Buses will arrive at bus stops one hour later than 
usual in the morning. Classes will end at the regular time, 2:05 p.m.
