Ssh! Don't tell anyone! Scifi club will be meeting Wednesday at 2:30 to
discuss "spies and espionage", from James Bond to the pink-haired woman
from the E-surance commercials. Pizza will be provided - all are welcome.
For all those interested in participating in the BOOK PALS trip to
placeSouth Boston in April , there will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow
@3:30 in the Little Theater. All are welcome!
Attention all Juniors and Seniors eligible for NHS induction: There will
be mandatory meeting on Fri., Mar., 9th @2:15 in the Little Theater. We
will be signing up for the annual phone-a-thon.
The Sports Forum is holding a March Madness competition. You MUST come to
the March 12th meeting in S-9 @2:30 to win prizes. You could win Red Sox,
or Spinners Tickets
A reminder: your Course Selection sheets will be collected in the March
9th homeroom.

There will be a Forum run by Student Senate TODAY in S-12 during all three
lunch blocks. We will be discussing students opinions on possible changes
to CCHS attendance policy & new schedule for next year. Please come, and
bring your friends.

Remember to sign-up for the 3 on 3 competition. Info and sign-up sheet is
in the Social Studies Office. The tournament is March 13th and 14th.
The annual 3 on 3 Fundraiser is back. All CC students are invited to
participate in this fundraiser for AIDS patient services. Get your team
together and sign-up in the Social Studies office. The team contribution
is $15 and the games will be played on March 13th and 14th in the
gymnasium after school.
The Multi-Cultural Food Fest on March 8th has been CANCELED.
The Concord Police will be sponsoring RAD Self Defense for High School
females, Wednesday evenings March 7, 14, 21, 28 6:30PM to 8:30PM at the
Alcott School gym. The first class March 7th will be held at the Concord
Police Station. Remaining classes will be at the placePlaceNameAlcott
PlaceTypeSchool gym. RAD is a basic self Defense course utilizing easy and
simple to use

Attention Seniors: Every year the CCHS Senior Class hosts the senior
citizens to a St. Patrick's Day Luncheon. This it will be held on
Saturday, March 17th.~ Students of 2007 are needed to set up, serve and
clean up. Community service hours will be given. Please sign up with~Mrs.
Hammer in the Main Office.
Evita tickets are also available at the box office 1 hour before each
show. Performances are Fri. & Sat. @ 7:30pm and Sun. @
timeHour14Minute302:30pm for the next two weekends
This year the Concord Flower shop has graciously agreed to handle the
flower sales for this year's musical, EVITA.
To celebrate the success and hard work of your favorite cast, pit
orchestra or crew member you may order from a selection of floral pieces,
ranging from $4.00 - $20.00, and have it ready to pick up~or be delivered
to your favorite star on the performance of your choice.
Orders forms are available at the front office with Mrs. Hammer.~
Order~with payment may be placed there, or by visiting or calling the
Concord Flower~, 109 Thoreau Street, tel. ~978-369-2404.
A limited number of flowers will also be available for sale at each
performance.
Scholarship Information
Scholarship information from Independent Companies is now available
On-Line through the Naviance Program. Seniors should also check that
program periodically to obtain additional information on new scholarships.
Any senior who has heard from a college or colleges regarding their
admission status should stop by the Guidance/Counseling department & let
their counselor and /or Mrs. McDonald know as soon as possible.
There has been some confusion about the March professional day. March
15th is the professional day for K-12. It was changed in July because of
MCAS testing.
The Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Applications have
arrived. See Mrs. Coleman in the main office. This is an easy one to
fill out. Deadline for this scholarship is April 6th.
Attention all Seniors
Scholarship applications for the Eric R. Cohn Education Foundation are now
available from Mrs. Coleman in the Main Office. Postmark deadline for
applications is April 2, 2007. This is a very easy application form to
fill out.
Applications for the Albert B. & Evelyn H. Black Fund of Concord have
arrived. Applicants can receive up to $3,000 in any academic year and up
to $7,500 total. They must be in the top half of their high school class
or in good academic standing at their graduate institution. See Mrs.
Coleman for an application. Deadline is April 20th.
On Sunday, March 11, there will be a CCHS music and theater student and
alumni brunch at the Concord Children's Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
~Special guests of honor will be Chuck Brown, CCHS Chorus &~Drama Director
from 1999-2005, his wife Patty Brown, and their new daughter, Cassie, who
was born on December 27, 2006. ~We hope that current students, alumni,
their parents, and teachers who worked on musical and theater productions
with Mr. Brown will join the festivities! ~Please call Lucy Miller, CCPOPS
Alumni Coordinator, at ~978-371-9632 to RSVP.
The annual early morning SAT preparation workshops, including tips for
writing the timed essay, for the test coming up this Saturday will be this
Thursday and Friday at 6 AM in the Little Theater. Yes, you heard it
right: 6 AM ! There will be juice and munchkins . . . BUT NO WALK-INS! .
. . so be sure to sign up in the English Office today. Any questions,
see Mr. A. in English..
AP sign ups, they are $83 each (check made out to CCHS). Please ask your
teacher what test to sign up for. Bring your check to Mrs. Trainor in the
Main Office before March 16.
Juniors with off campus privileges are reminded that they ONLY can go off
campus during lunch blocks! You may NOT leave at any other time.
