Should there be a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage?? Come to
junior state on Wednesday at 6pm in H-3 to debate.
Sophomores please remember to pick up your ring packet from the main
office if you did not receive one in homeroom. The salesperson will be in
the caf. Thurs. to take your orders.
Attention Sophomores: If you are taking Mr. Nurenbergs Literature of War
and Nonviolence English elective next quarter, there is a mandatory
meeting to attend today, immediately after school in the little theater.
It will only take 10 minutes, but it is very important that you attend.
Thats Tuesday, right after school in the little theater. Any questions,
see Mr. Nurenberg.
Attendance reports were distributed in homeroom on Friday, March 30. If
you did not get your attendance report in homeroom please stop by the main
office and pick it up. Reports are due to Mrs Merry by the end of the day
Wednesday, April 4th.
All~FORMER~chorus students are reminded~that they must return their clean
chorus outfits to the chorus room~before school~on~Wednesday or right
after school on Thursday of~THIS WEEK.~ They should make sure that their
name is on the hanger and that they check in with the parent volunteer.
Concords Board of Selectmen invites everyone to join them in the 27th
Annual Holocaust Memorial Observance, Sunday, April 22, 7:30pm at the
Concord Town House. The speaker is Hungarian survivor, Marika Barnett,
with Rosalie Gerut providing her music. This event is coordinated each
year by the Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council at the request of the
Concord Board of Selectmen. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
Attention Sophomores
The RYLA Leadership Conference Applications have arrived. Absolute
Deadline for application to be delivered to Mrs. Coleman is April 10th.
Qualifications- leadership potential, good citizenship, desire to attend
the conference,and scholarship. More information is posted on the window
by Mrs. Coleman's desk.
Scholarship information from Independent Companies is now available
On-Line through the Naviance Program. Seniors should also check that
program periodically to obtain additional information on new scholarships.
Applications for the Albert B. & Evelyn H. Black Fund of Concord have
arrived. Applicants can receive up to $3,000 in any academic year and up
to $7,500 total. They must be in the top half of their high school class
or in good academic standing at their graduate institution. See Mrs.
Coleman for an application. Deadline is April 20th.
Applications for The Concord-Carlisle Community Chest Volunteer Service
Award for Outstanding Service in the Field of Human Services have arrived.
See Mrs. Coleman for an application. This award is open to grades 9-12.
