Attention all Challenge Day participants: the Challenge Days are this
Monday & Tuesday. Please report to the lower gym @7:30am on your assigned
day. If you do not return your slip your spot will be given to an
alternate.
Scifi club makes its return today at 2:30 pm n H-12. Pizza and seaweed
candy will be provided. All are welcome.
Applications for next year's radio station management positions are now
available. Stop by the station for complete details and important
information.
Attention Theatre Tech Crew (and anyone interested in being on tech crew)!
We're meeting after school today to set up staging for the spring play.
If you're able to help out plan to meet after school today.
Attention Juniors and Seniors! There will be a Junior-Senior dance
Friday. This is the last school dance for you Seniors, so come have fun.
Tickets will be on sale during lunch blocks in the caf.
Come to Junior State today at 6pm in H-3.
The Denis Cleary Moot Court Semi Final round will take place in the upper
library on Thursday, April 26. The first case will begin at 7 pm. All
are welcome.
Students who received letters about the Harvard University survey,
remember to return your consent forms to Mrs. Hammer by Friday morning.
The survey will be conducted during lunch blocks on Friday in the
Auditorium.
Attention all CCHS paintball participants there is a short mandatory
meeting today at 2:15 in H-5.
Come celebrate, remember and honor the life of Adrian Martinez on Monday,
April 30 at 7pm at the Emerson Track.~~Friends are invited to participate
in '23 Laps for Adrian by walking, running, talking, sharing, and~signing
a guest book which will be sent to the placeCityMartinez family.
DANCE CLUB MEMBERS PRESENT AND PROSPECTIVE:~~Come to Dance Club Friday,
April 27th, the first of a two part workshop, to learn choreography from
renowned choreographer/teacher/dancer Adrienne Hawkins.~ Adrienne has been
artistic director of Impulse Dance Company for 30 years. She is
choreographing a hip hop/modern fusion piece to be performed at CCPOPS
recognition night on May 22nd. Workshop will take place in the auditorium
from 2:30 to 4 (or check cafe if auditorium is used for town meeting.) We
look forward to seeing you! Please note, the second workshop will be
Friday, May 8th at 2:30 in the auditorium.
Students taking the SAT Prep Classes on Sundays should use door #13 near
I-2. All other doors will be locked.
The English department announces its 18th annual Paula Sirois ( It's
suh-ROY (emphasis on the second syllable) Poetry Contest. Bring your
entries (2 or 3 poems) to Ms. Cox in the English department office
opposite H-13. No names on the poems, please - you'll be assigned a
number for the competition. Submission deadline is Wednesday, May 9. Any
questions? Ask your English teacher.
There will be a brief meeting of the girls' cross country team tomorrow at
2:05 in H-10. Plans for a run in the Falmouth Road Race in August will be
discussed, and there will be summer running camp information. Get there
fast and we'll be done before 2:30. See Mr. Hart if you can't make the
meeting.
There will be a Voice meeting on this Friday immediately after school in
H-16. All editors should be present. New reporters and artists are
welcome!

Do you like to sing? Women's Ensemble is looking for new members! There
is currently no audition for this choir (or for regular chorus) and it is
not too late to sign up for either. Please see your guidance counselor
ASAP to request Women's Ensemble or Chorus on your schedule.
Attention all CCHS Bands: The class of 2009 is hosting an outdoor concert
on May 19. Anyone interested in performing please sign the sign up sheet
located on the WIQH boarding the S building. Auditions will be held Wed.
April 25th.
Dancers, singers, musicians, and actors are needed to perform at the
CCPOPS Awards Night on Tuesday, May 22. Sign up sheets are posted across
from the chorus room; see Ms. Golding with questions.
Scholarship information from Independent Companies is now available
On-Line through the Naviance Program. Seniors should also check that
program periodically to obtain additional information on new scholarships.
Applications for The Concord-Carlisle Community Chest Volunteer Service
Award for Outstanding Service in the Field of Human Services have arrived.
See Mrs. Coleman for an application. This award is open to grades 9-12.
Come celebrate, remember and honor the life of Adrian Martinez on Monday,
April 30th (rain or shine) at 7:00 pm at the Emerson Track, Concord, MA.
Adrian, who would turn 23 on April 30th, graduated from pConcord Carlisle
High School in 2002 and Williams College in 2006.~ He was an avid and
accomplished runner and athlete who valued family, friendship and
citizenship above all else.~ Friends are invited to participate in '23
Laps for Adrian' by walking, running, talking, sharing, and~signing a
guest book which will be sent to the Martinez family.~ If you are unable
to come on Monday but would like to send a message to the Martinez family,
please stop by the Recreation Department desk in the Hunt Gym to and leave
your message in the designated box.
Thoreau School is holding its first ever Road Race on May 20th to support
the Thoreau Elementary School.
It will include a Kids One Mile Fun Run and a 5K Race with a family BBQ
picnic after the races. Sign up sheets are in the Main Office w/Mrs.
Trainor.
