The Environmental Club celebrates the increased level of recycling at
CCHS, using those
nice new recycle bins in the hallways and cafeteria; we're all pitching in
well. Here's a
limerick to help remind us to continue:
There was a young man from placeNantucket
Who, having a bottle, would chuck it.
We asked him to think
Of our earth on the brink,
Now he uses the recycle bucket!

Have you ever thought of going to the Edinburgh Festival in August to see
some of the great shows? The Edinburgh Festival is the largest performing
arts festival in the world and CCHS has been chosen as a small number of
US high schools to perform a play at the Edinburgh Festival in August
2008. Learn how you can be a part of this experience either on stage, as
a musician, or tech crew. Come find out more at our informational
meeting, TUESDAY, May 22, 42:30 pm, in the Little Theatre. See Mr. George
Kendall for additional details.
The Dance Club will be holding an West African Dance Workshop from 3 to
4:15 in the gym today. There will be live drummers, and plenty of spirit,
energy and enthusiasm. We had almost 40 dancers at the previous African
workshop in the fall. Don't miss out on this wonderful workshop.
Everyone is welcome, whether you have dance experience or not! Also,
remember next Friday is our last workshop of the year, with Hip Hop
teacher/performer Jimy Tran. We look forward to seeing you at both
workshops.
Have any old cell phones or used ink cartridges lying around the house?
If so, there is a box in the office for them. They will be recycled & the
benefits will be given to an orphanage in placecountry-regionEthiopia. If
you have any questions see Cate Medeiros or Katie Deisenroth.
