Peer Leadership will be meeting inH5 at 2:30 TODAY. We will be planning
our Mardi Gras Charity Event. All are welcome to join!!
Many children in Rwanda suffer from Rheumatic Fever which affects their
heart, especially the heart valves. We are trying to help the
organization, Teen Heart/Partners in Health, raise money for operations
on these children. But, we dont want your money, we just want your old,
used cell phones, and we know CCHS students have old cell phones. They can
be sold for $50 a piece. Please bring them to the main office. And thanks
so much.
The Third Wing will meet today at 2:30 in H4 to discuss why the pundits
and pollsters have been so far off the mark. All are welcome.
There will be a Sports Forum meeting TODAY @ 2:30 in S-9. There will be
free pizza and all are welcome.
Ever wonder what it would be like to work for ESPN? Here's an opportunity
to find out. Patriot Productions and CCTV are looking for students
interested in filming basketball & hockey games, as well as any of the
other winter sports and activities. Film one game or all--whatever you can
commit to. We'll provide the training; you provide the enthusiasm. See Mr.
Sapp in the English Department or Mr. Paige in the CCTV studio if you can
help.
The library is conducting a student survey. During mid-terms, would you
like the library to be a place for:
A) Silent independent study or B) Regular library rules. Stop by the
library and vote for your preference.
Come to Model UN TODAY H-4 from 5:30-6:30. We will be watching a short
documentary on disarmament of rebel groups in Africa with discussion. New
members are always welcome.
Today, F block, come meet Danielle Tuller, a human rights worker who has
traveled the world and worked for democracy and women's' health & other
rights in Central Asia (Georgia, Kyrgyzstan) and South America (Colombia).
She will speak about her experiences and in particular the problems of
sex trafficking. That's F block today in the Little Theater - all are
welcome.
Attention students of all grades! The Class of 2010 matchmaker fundraiser
is back! Surveys were distributed in homerooms last Friday, but if you
did not fill one out and still would like to, be sure to pick one up in
the main office. All surveys must be turned into the office or to Jill
Curry & Erin Davis in the Special Education department by Thursday at 2:05
if you would like to find out who you're compatible with on Valentine's
Day!
Attention Juniors and Seniors: An introductory meeting, regarding the
internship program, will take place today during all lunch blocks. The
meeting will take place in the Office Modular Group Room.
There will be a mandatory 15 minute meeting of Ms.Golding's Ruettger's
seminar students on Tuesday, January 22 at 2:30 in H-14. Students should
see Ms. Golding ASAP if they cannot attend.

Chinese Folk Art Workshop is coming to CCHS! Have you ever wanted to learn
more about China and traditional Chinese dance and music? Now is your
chance! Get your tickets now! On Sunday February 3rd at 1pm, the Chinese
Folk Art Workshop will present a dynamic performance by American Chinese
youth. Proceeds will benefit a CCHS student trip to China! Tickets are $15
adults, $10 students Tickets available at the cafeteria during lunch
