All School Dance is TODAY!! Come decked out in your most absurdly preppy
attire to the all-school golf & tennis country club dance! Tickets are
being sold during lunch blocks at the double doors. No tickets will be
sold at the door!
Come to Multicultural Food Club next Tuesday @ 3:30 in A-5. We are
cooking American food! Were making mac n cheese and Cheddar broccoli
soup. Give permission slips to Ms. Lucier or Dr. Vela.
The Challenge Day participate list is posted on the window of S-12.
There is a yearbook meeting on Monday in Room S-8 at 2:30 pm, all are
encouraged to attend!
The first round of the 2008 Denis Cleary Moot Court tournament continues
today at 2:30PM in H-4. Come watch McBride and Stephens take on Meltaus
and Paleologos. Please arrive on time. No late arrivals we will be
admitted.
Learn about a variety of Health Topics during our last day of Health Week
2008 presentations. C block in the Little Theater come learn about the
potentially deadly bacteria MRSA from the Department of Public Health. G
block a Brain and Behavior presentation by Doctors Neil Kowall and Don
Siwek. E block in the Little Theater the brain injury presentation will
share information on the Think Ahead brain Injury Prevention. Lastly
join CCHSs Hockey Coach and Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine Kevin
Harrington as he explores Life Without Limits in the pursuit of healthy
living. Thank you for participating in all of our Health Week
Opportunities!
The Annual Valentine's day Carnation day is here! The class of 2011 will
be selling them TODAY, and next week Monday through Wednesday in the Cafe.
You must pre-order them BEFORE Valentine's Day in order to make sure they
are delivered on time. Each Carnation is $2, and you should know the
recipients block, class, and room number when you buy them. Spread the
love!
Students in Ms. Golding's Ruettgers seminar are reminded that the first
meeting will be Monday, February 11 at 7:00 p.m. in room H-14.
The Concord Police Department will be sponsoring RAD, Rape Aggression
Defense systems, for females. RAD is a realistic self-defense program
teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies, including hands-on
defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. This is a four-week
course using simple and easy to learn techniques, providing an effective
and proven method of self-defense. RAD classes will be held Tuesday
evenings 6:30-8:45PM (approximately). The first class, March 4, will be
held at the Concord Police Station and the remaining classes March 11, 18,
25, will be at the Alcott school gymnasium. High School females are
