The matchmaker survey results are in!  Find out who in our school you are
most compatible with by purchasing your list for $3 on Wednesday,
Thursday, & Friday in the cafe during lunch blocks!  You won't want to
miss out on this!

ATTENTION SENIORS: The Kevin J. Fitzgerald scholarship is a scholarship
program that awards $2,500 to a student attending a 4-year college and a
$2,500 award to a student attending a vocational/technical school or
community college.  Please see Ms. Reidy in the Counseling Department no
later than Friday, 2/15 if you are interested in applying.  

Students and staff who have laptops and want to learn how to use them
better, come to  free workshops and learn the tricks that will make you a
computer wiz.  Meetings are from 2:15 to 3:00 Tuesday and Thursday in room
H-18.  Anyone is welcome to attend.  Be sure to bring your laptop.

Get ready for some OLD SCHOOL sci-fi - come to sci-fi club on Wednesday at
2:30 in H-12 to watch the classic, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL.  Free
pizza, all are welcome.  Klatu barata niktu!

Attention all students: tickets for the all-school Black and White
Semiformal will be sold during all lunch blocks in the cafe and at the
double doors for $15. They'll only be on sale this week, so get yours soon!

The Annual Valentine's day Carnation day is here! The class of 2011 will
be selling them TODAY and tomorrow in the Cafe. You must pre-order them
BEFORE Valentine's Day in order to make sure they are delivered on time.
Each Carnation is $2, and you should know the recipients block, class, and
room number when you buy them. Spread the love!

Attention Sophomores
Would you like to meet people you own age, build your leadership skills,
challenge yourself, and have fun.  The Rotary Club of Concord will be
conducting interviews and awarding scholarship to attend the Rotary Youth
Leadership Awards Conference from June 20 to June 22, 2008. RYLA
applications have arrived.  See Mrs. Coleman in the main office.

The Concord Police Department will be sponsoring RAD, Rape Aggression
Defense systems, for females. RAD is a realistic self-defense program
teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies, including hands-on
defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. This is a four-week
course using simple and easy to learn techniques, providing an effective
and proven method of self-defense. RAD classes will be held Tuesday
evenings 6:30-8:45PM (approximately). The first class, March 4, will be
held at the Concord Police Station and the remaining classes March 11, 18,
25, will be at the Alcott school gymnasium. High School females are
encouraged to participate, for more information contact Detective Scott
