For all boys and girls interested in trying out for the Spring track and
field team, there will be a mandatory meeting Thursday at 2:30pm in the
Lower Gym. Questions, see Mr. Lane in the Social Studies Dept.

ATTENTION JUNIORSREMINDER:  "JUNIOR NIGHT" Wednesday, February 27th,  7:00
p.m. in the Auditorium.  Junior students and parents wishing to attend
these informative workshops should report to the CCHS Auditorium for the
Introductory Session.  This session will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. 
These workshops are open to all junior students and their parents.  

Come to craze in I-4 from 2:30 to 4:00 on Thursday for fashion design
sketches 101. Want to know how Vera Wang, Betsey Johnson and Ralph Lauren
design their clothes, come to this meeting and learn their way and one
that works for you!

TEEN DRIVING SAFETY – CCPI This week, Feb. 28 @ 8:30pm,  CCTV is going to
air the panel on teen driving safety on channel 10. The feedback about the
event was very positive, and we have been asked repeatedly to inform the
CCHS community about the CCTV times. We highly recommend that parents
watch this with their teenagers regardless of whether they have their
license or not.

The Reflections Short Story and Non-fiction contests' deadline is coming
up! Please hand in your entries by March 3rd to Mr. Pickman, Miranda
Morrison, or the Blue Box in the Art Room. Students may submit one piece
to each contest, or they may choose to participate in only one contest. We
look forward to your entries!

Pre-season lacrosse meeting for all players grades 9 - 12 on Friday,
February 29 at 2:45 in the upper gym.

Ushers needed for Crazy for You. Please sign up on the sheet that is
posted across I-6. We will need six ushers for each show.  Community
service hours will be awarded.  Please include your email information when

The unofficial term 2 honor roll list has been posted on the window
outside Ms. Trainor’s desk in the main office. As you know, there are
always omissions. Please tell Ms. Trainor or Dr. Weinstein by Fri Mar 7 if
you have been omitted. Remember that the honor roll list will no longer be
sent to newspapers. Thank you and congratulations to all present
“honorable” students.

Students anticipating Spring Sports should stop by the health office to
check the status of their physicals.  This ensures that the date is
correct and you will be eligible for tryouts.  Check early to avoid
disappointment.

Ever wonder what Tokyo would look like after a nuclear war?  Wonder no
longer - come to sci-fi club this Wednesday at 2:30 in H-12 to watch the
famous anime movie AKIRA.  You will need to bring a permission note from
your parent or guardian.  Free pizza, all are welcome.

All interested Boy's Varsity Tennis Team players should meet in room H-10
Thursday, February 28 at 2:30.  If you are not able to attend the meeting
please see Mr. Spence.

Concord's REUSIT organization promotes and participates in town wide
recycling efforts. They have placed a box~at CCHS in the Main Office for
collecting your used inkjet printer cartridges.~ Many cartridges can be
remanufactured, thus saving raw materials.~ Others get disposed of in
environmentally sound ways.

Attention Sophomores
Would you like to meet people your own age, build your leadership skills,
challenge yourself, and have fun.  The Rotary Club of Concord will be
conducting interviews and awarding scholarship to attend the Rotary Youth
Leadership Awards Conference from June 20 to June 22, 2008. RYLA
applications have arrived.  See Mrs. Coleman in the main office.

The Concord Police Department will be sponsoring RAD, Rape Aggression
Defense systems, for females. RAD is a realistic self-defense program
teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies, including hands-on
defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. This is a four-week
course using simple and easy to learn techniques, providing an effective
and proven method of self-defense. RAD classes will be held Tuesday
evenings 6:30-8:45PM (approximately). The first class, March 4, will be
held at the Concord Police Station and the remaining classes March 11, 18,
25, will be at the Alcott school gymnasium. High School females are
