Anyone interested in playing FOOTBALL next fall MUST fill out a General
Information Card by March 7.Cards are available from Mr. Kerr.

This Saturday, come support the CCHS drama program and see our entry in
the Massachusetts High School Drama Guild competition.   Torie Burmeister,
David Dawson, Nicole Giuld, James Weaver, and Olivia Zubrowski will
perform the 30 minute one-act play "The Actor's Nightmare" at Weston High
School.  Show time is 4:30 but come early and see other Massachusetts
school perform.   Questions, see Mr. Ben Kendall.

It's time to go "CRAZY FOR YOU".  Yes, the late winter musical "Crazy For
You" features music by George & Ira Gershwin, lots of tap dance, cowboys
("yee-haw"), and over 100 of your fellow students performing as actors,
musicians, or tech.  The show opens next Friday, March 7 and runs for two
weekends.  Tickets will be sold in the cafeteria on Thursdays & Fridays of
show week. "Crazy For You" questions can be directed to Mr. George Kendall.

Come join members of the Third Wing, Amnesty, Model UN, and Junior State
to discuss plans for The Awareness Festival - a potential community event
designed to highlight critical issues and connect people to local efforts
and nonprofit organizations. The meeting will be held today at 2:30 in H4.
All are welcome.

The Ultimate Frisbee club will be holding an informational meeting on
Monday, March 3 at 2:15 in room S-27.   Everyone who would like to compete
on the boy’s or the girl’s teams this spring MUST attend.  If you are
interested, but cannot attend the meeting you must leave your name and
e-mail with Mr. Beckwith of the Mathematics Department before the meeting. 

Any sophomore who is interested in going on the March 8th Ski Trip to
Waterville Valley should pick up a permission slip packet from Ms. Curry
and Ms. Davis, your class advisors.  They will have folders with
permission slip packets posted on their doors in the Special
Education/Guidance suite. All students who plan on going on the ski trip
must attend an informational meeting with a parent on Monday March 3rd at
6:30 PM in the cafe and return the permission slips at that time.

Get pocket money to do community service hours! The Food Project is now
accepting applications for its unique summer work experience. The Food
Project hires fourteen to seventeen year olds from urban and suburban
communities for a seven-week summer job program. Participants grow
vegetables and distribute them to soup kitchens and farmers markets in the
Boston area. For more information and an application call at 781-2598621

application is this Friday Feb. 29th! Attention, Voice reporters and
photographers: there will be a meeting to assign articles for the next
issue on Monday, March 3rdin H-16 immediately after school.  Please come
to sign up for an article.  New writers/ photographers are always welcome.

For all boys and girls interested in trying out for the Spring track and
field team, there will be a mandatory meeting today at 2:30pm in the Lower
Gym. Questions, see Mr. Lane in the Social Studies Dept.

Come to craze in I-4 from 2:30 to 4:00 today for fashion design sketches
101. Want to know how Vera Wang, Betsey Johnson and Ralph Lauren design
their clothes, come to this meeting and learn their way and one that works
for you!

TEEN DRIVING SAFETY – TONIGHT @ 8:30pm, CCTV is going to air the panel on
teen driving safety on channel 10. The feedback about the event was very
positive, and we have been asked repeatedly to inform the CCHS community
about the CCTV times. We highly recommend that parents watch this with
their teenagers regardless of whether they have their license or not.

The Reflections Short Story and Non-fiction contests' deadline is coming
up! Please hand in your entries by March 3rd to Mr. Pickman, Miranda
Morrison, or the Blue Box in the Art Room. Students may submit one piece
to each contest, or they may choose to participate in only one contest. We
look forward to your entries!

Pre-season boys lacrosse meeting for all players grades 9 - 12 on Friday,
February 29 at 2:45 in the upper gym.

Ushers needed for Crazy for You. Please sign up on the sheet that is
posted across I-6. We will need six ushers for each show.  Community
service hours will be awarded.  Please include your email information when

Students anticipating Spring Sports should stop by the health office to
check the status of their physicals.  This ensures that the date is
correct and you will be eligible for tryouts.  Check early to avoid
disappointment.

All interested Boy's Varsity Tennis Team players should meet in room H-10
today at 2:30.  If you are not able to attend the meeting please see Mr.
Spence.

Concord's REUSIT organization promotes and participates in town wide
recycling efforts. They have placed a box~at CCHS in the Main Office for
collecting your used inkjet printer cartridges.~ Many cartridges can be
remanufactured, thus saving raw materials.~ Others get disposed of in
environmentally sound ways.

Attention Sophomores
Would you like to meet people your own age, build your leadership skills,
challenge yourself, and have fun.  The Rotary Club of Concord will be
conducting interviews and awarding scholarship to attend the Rotary Youth
Leadership Awards Conference from June 20 to June 22, 2008. RYLA
applications have arrived.  See Mrs. Coleman in the main office.

The Concord Police Department will be sponsoring RAD, Rape Aggression
Defense systems, for females. RAD is a realistic self-defense program
teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies, including hands-on
defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. This is a four-week
course using simple and easy to learn techniques, providing an effective
and proven method of self-defense. RAD classes will be held Tuesday
evenings 6:30-8:45PM (approximately). The first class, March 4, will be
held at the Concord Police Station and the remaining classes March 11, 18,
25, will be at the Alcott school gymnasium. High School females are
