The Class of 2008 has kicked off one of their biggest fundraisers of the
year. For the next month, students will be selling magazine subscriptions
to help defray individual costs for the Senior prom. This fundraiser is
specifically designed to help individual students reduce the cost of their
own prom ticket or even allow them to go for free. Here's how it works:
1. The Class of 2008 has a website to advertise, order, and monitor
magazine sales.
2. The site is www.supportourgroup.com/zm1180
3. Students will send this site to their friend, family, co-workers, etc.
so that others can check out the magazines offered and order online.
(Orders can also be taken in paper form)
4. Anyone who orders a magazine will be asked to enter the name of the
student who told them about the fundraiser, so that student can "get
credit" for the sale.
5. Each student who raises $80 in sales will get a half price ticket and
a free ticket if they raise $160 in sales.
This fundraiser will be in effect until Friday, April 18th. If you are
interested in ordering, or even renewing, a subscription to your favorite
magazine, check out the site or talk to a CCHS Senior. Any questions can
be directed to the class advisors, Mr. McGrath, or Ms. Giunta. Thank you
for your help. The Class of 2008Could you use some help to know what
limits to set for your teen? Are you too lenient, too strict? How can you
help him/her become independent, yet stay safe?
Rick Irving, a clinical social worker with Andover Public Schools, who has
spent 30 years working with children, families, and schools, returns to
CCHS on Monday, March 31, to give parents practical ideas, and a few
laughs, about helping their teens through these years. The program that
Rick delivered last fall to a large group of CCHS parents was so popular
that they asked if he could return to speak on other issues. So, save a
few hours next Monday evening for this exceptional speaker.
This program is offered by the Center for Parents and Teachers and the
CCHS Parents Association. It will be in the CCHS Library at 7:30 pm.
Pre-registration is appreciated: amartinez at colonial.net or 978-202-1146. A
free-will offering will be collected at the door for future programs of
the Center for Parents and Teachers.
