Are you looking to help out your community? Consider donating blood
during the annual Nick Ressler Memorial Blood Drive on Saturday, April 5.
Nick, a vibrant member of the First Parish community, was 14 when he died
of cancer in 2001. Over 300 blood donors helped Nick during his illness,
and now others need the same help. Mass. General's bloodmobile will be
here on April 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m. If you are 17 years old or
older, you may be eligible to donate! It will be at the Emerson building
in Concord. Questions - please contact Doc Furey for more information.
ATTENTION JUNIORS: Senior Project '08 seeks two volunteers from the Class

after-school meetings (with refreshments) but no heavy lifting. As a
thank-you, you will be exempt from the lottery for Senior Project '09 and
thereby guaranteed a place next Spring as Senior Project rocks on. If you

Last Monday, March 24 skis, ski boots, poles and helmet were put just
outside the Laundry Room (which is actually the boy's ski room during ski
season) by a coach. When he came to pick them up that afternoon
(approximately 4:10 pm) his two racing poles were gone, must have happened
between 12.00 and 4.00pm on that Monday. There are Spyder racing
hand-guard attachments on the Scott ski poles (a total value of about
150$). We looked everywhere in the school, but they have mysteriously
disappeared.
The Class of 2008 has kicked off one of their biggest fundraisers of the
year. For the next month, students will be selling magazine subscriptions
to help defray individual costs for the Senior prom. This fundraiser is
specifically designed to help individual students reduce the cost of their
own prom ticket or even allow them to go for free. Here's how it works:
1. The Class of 2008 has a website to advertise, order, and monitor
magazine sales.
2. The site is www.supportourgroup.com/zm1180
3. Students will send this site to their friend, family, co-workers, etc.
so that others can check out the magazines offered and order online.
(Orders can also be taken in paper form)
4. Anyone who orders a magazine will be asked to enter the name of the
student who told them about the fundraiser, so that student can "get
credit" for the sale.
5. Each student who raises $80 in sales will get a half price ticket and
a free ticket if they raise $160 in sales.
This fundraiser will be in effect until Friday, April 18th. If you are
interested in ordering, or even renewing, a subscription to your favorite
magazine, check out the site or talk to a CCHS Senior. Any questions can
be directed to the class advisors, Mr. McGrath, or Ms. Giunta. Thank you
for your help. The Class of 2008
HELP THE CONCORD ED FUND PROVIDE TEACHER GRANTS
The Concord Education Fund (CEF) is in the midst of reviewing proposals
for our Teacher Grants Program.
We need to raise an additional $21,000 before April 30in order to fund the
grants we've identified as promising the greatest immediate impact on our
kids inK-12. We can reach our goal if 70 families donate $300 each, or if
140 families donate $150, or if 300 families donate $70. Doing the math
is easy, but making a difference in our kids' education takes your help!
Please send your tax-deductible contributions to the CEF, P.O. Box 202,
Concord, MA 01742. These grants will give our kids a richer classroom
experience next September and they will excite and inspire our teachers
when we announce them this June. Please help today. For more information,
