SENIORS ARE ON THE MOVE, heading for new places, jobs, or travel.
Seniors, please swing by the CCHS library to sign up and tell us where YOU
will be next year....then we will include your name on the library
bulletin board. It's a great way to share your plans.
Attention All Seniors: TRANSCRIPT MONEY IS DUE NOW. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE
YOUR CAP & GOWN UNLESS THIS IS PAID IN FULL. PLEASE INFORM MRS. TESSARI OF
YOUR FINAL DECISION OR OF ANY OTHER PLANS THAT YOU MAY HAVE FOR THE YEAR
FOLLOWING GRADUATION.
The Carlisle Department of Recreation is looking for Freshmen, Sophomores,
and Juniors to serve on the Carlisle Recreation Student Advisory Board,
which will meet to discuss possible recreational and educational
activities that the students would like to see Carlisle offer in the
future for either high school or elementary school students. Community

Come to the film club this Friday, May 9th to see Luis Bunuel's satire
'The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie.' Popcorn will be served.
There is a yearbook meeting on Monday in room S-18 at 2:30, all are
encouraged to attend.
The CCHS spring Shakespeare production of "The Tempest" is coming! On
Thursday, May 15 & Saturday, May 17 at 7:30, and Sunday, May 18 at 1:30 pm
come see one of Shakespeare's last plays and one of his most theatrical.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the CCHS auditorium immediately
before each show. If you are interested in ushering for "The Tempest"
(and seeing the show for free), please sign up outside of the room I-6,
the chorus room.
How can you save gas, have fun, and help preserve the environment? Leave
your car at home and bike to school! Bike to School Week is part of the
National Bike to Work Week and is next week, May 12th through 18th. Talk
to Mr. Beckwith for details.
The Junior Prom is coming up soon on Friday, May 16. TODAY is the last
day to purchase tickets they are on sale in the cafe during all lunch
blocks. The cost of the tickets is $60; please make checks payable to
CCHS Class of 2009. See Mr. Pavlik or Mr. Miller if you have any
questions.
On Saturday, May 10th Cradle to Crayons will be working with Concord
Public Work's Reusit on Concord Recycling day.~ They will have a 24 truck
on site to load up donated toys, kids clothes, and baby equipment.~ We
need 2-5 volunteers to help sort through the donations and load the truck.

Come to Dance Club, TODAY in the cafeteria, at 2:30~to work on
choreography~for Dance Club performance on Wednesday, 6/11.~ Do a solo, a
duet, or work with a group of your friends!~ Bring your music and
demonstrate your talents!~
SALSA, SALSA, SALSA...Burju and Victor are back for a Salsa Workshop,
sponsored by Dance Club and the Parents Association Thursday 5/15 in the
cafeteria from 2:30 to 4 pm.~ In their two previous workshops, there were
35 students who attended.~ This is the day before Junior Prom; impress
your friends with your new salsa styling.
Attention: All Senior Project students should see Mr. A this week to pick
up the schedule for their remaining responsibilities. (P.S He's not
kidding.)
Interested in Rock Climbing? There will be an outdoor climbing trip on
Saturday, May 10th and anyone is welcome. No experience is necessary and
you will be given a lesson if you are new to climbing. Permission slips
can be found on the bulletin board outside the math office. If you have
any questions, see Ms. Giunta.
If you are planning to bring someone who is not presently attending CCHS
to the Junior Prom, you must fill out a form. These forms are available
in the main office and must be returned to Mr. Miller prior to buying your
prom ticket.
Yelling Doesnt Work!~ A FCSN Presentation on Positive Behavior Supports
with Rebecca Goniwich
Tuesday~May 13th7-9 pm Alcott School Auditorium Sponsored by Concord SPED
PAC
~This workshop helps you understand what you can do to help a child with
special needs comply at home and in the classroom using positive behavior
supports.~~Rebecca Goniwich~explains how yelling does not teach the
necessary skills a child needs to learn in order to comply.~ This workshop
provides the insight into why a child with special needs misbehaves and
how changing your behavior will in turn change theirs. ~Learn to recognize
the function of behavior and how a front-end approach will show results.~
Ms Goniwich explains how Functional Assessments are at the heart of a
Positive Behavior Support Plan~and she~discusses them at length~providing
sample plans.
~Join us for a trip climbing the rocks in Quincy Quarries! Anyone is
welcome! No Experience Necessary - you will be taught everything you need
to know - various levels of climbing will be available to challenge you.

Meet 8:30am at CCHS
Return 4-4:30pm
Cost: $30 per person
