DAY 180!!!

Could it happen to you? Under what circumstances might you find yourself
on the frontline of a brutal civil war? Under what circumstances might
you find yourself orphaned and fighting for your survival? This summer the
student, faculty and parent communities of Concord, Carlisle and Boston
are invited to participate in a community reading event. One school – one
book, CCHS reads: A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael
Beah. Events, speakers and discussion groups will be planned throughout
the 2008 – 2009 school year to more fully explore the issues presented in
Ishmael’s story. Please join us in this literary event facilitated by Ms.
Richmond and Mrs.Cicchetti. The Concord Public Library has lots of copies
to check out, and the book is available in paperback.

If you turned in a work permit please pick it up today from Mrs.Trainor.

Those students that plan on participating in Fall sports beginning in
August please stop by and check the status of your physical. Physicals
must be current to participate in tryouts. If your physical has been
updated please bring a copy to the Health Office before the end of the
school year.

ALL students need to clean out their lockers THIS WEEK. Juniors need to
return their locks to Mrs. Trainor.
Freshmen and Sophomores keep your locks on your lockers!

Any student who took Ceramics during the fall semester should see Mr.
Linder to pick up work that was in the annual art exhibit. You must pick
up your work by June 23.

I wish all of you a safe and happy summer!!! See you in September.
